Guild question

See, I don't trust that. Excavating would piss off earth elementals, and, well, Tauren wouldn't like that at -all-. It may hint at some things, but honestly, why would the Tauren support something that ticks off the Earthmother?

Wildhammers may have a chance of the Tauren warming up to them, but, in all honesty, it'd be something that's unsteady.

Tauren and Dwarves will be pretty much at ends until the war is over, I'd say.

I believe the cause of the hostilities was that they believed the Dwarves to just be after money, like the Goblins. The Tauren are very reverent of their Ancestors though, and would probhably accept that the Dwarves would like to know their own ancestors better. Atleast, that's what Brann and Cairne figured out during his visit to Thunder Bluff.

Also, some closer investigation from the Tauren's side would reveal that the Wildhammers are nothing like the dwarves they've been dealing with at all - Presumably, the Tauren would not be so narrowminded as to presume that they're all the same, just because they share height? That's a trait I associate more with, say Ironforge Dwarves and Humans.

Just the same, I couldn't imagine the Tauren letting them in, mostly because of the Fourth War. The Orc's would probably see this as treason, and they -would- go just upon the fact that they are Dwarves. So, to not risk this, the Tauren would probably still stay hostile, and tolerate them in neutral areas. But being friends and such with them would really be a stretch.

Aye, I never said they'd be close buddies - The Circle is dominated by the Night Elfs though, an Alliance Race that's fighting the Horde far more actively than the Dwarves do nowadays. A more relevant question perhaps, is if the Night Elfs would cringe at the thought or not :) I suppose they'd be the deciding factor here.

EDIT: I mixed things a bit up. I believe the Horde Lands are far more opened up in the Lore than ingame, though - Brann and other adventurers seems to have been able to go about with their business in Horde-Controlled lands at Kalimdor, provided they made no trouble. Brann even got into both Orgrimmar and Thunder Bluff, without getting killed on sight!

Keeping the peace would be their main goal. And since the Circle includes Tauren, and not Dwarves, then, it'd probably lean closer to Tauren.

Quote:Most of this faction's members are either night elves or tauren. The Cenarion Circle, however, accepts men and women of any race; druids are members by definition, but other characters must prove themselves to the Cenarion Circle before to become accepted. Fervently dedicated to protecting the wilderness, the operatives of the Cenarion Circle consider their duties above the petty wars and futile disputes of the Alliance, the Horde, and any other faction, race, family or group. They are, after all, trying to save the world from those who would unwittingly destroy it; they allow no distractions.

I found this in the Dark Factions Lorebook, and it seems to suggest that the Circle would not ban any race at all - Any Druid would have a chance to join, although some races might have a far tougher time to prove themselves than others.

They still would have to prove themselves, and until then the relationship would be rough. This isn't something that'd just happen, and would have to be RPed for a long, long while.

I won't contest that, dwarves do have a rather shabby repubtation with both elves and tauren :)
Racial Prejudice and all would probhably play in for all it's worth, but it would appear that it's realistic that a Wildhammer Dwarf could pull it off - Why the heck he'd want to is something else, seeing as Wildhammers are a bunch of isiolationists living at the other side of Azeroth.
