Quick question everyone! Would you like us note a playable race's view on only other playable races or include playable races -and- non-playable races?

An example would be notting a Tauren 's view on the centaur (a non-playable race)

Also, world you like to see racial views on the various factions other than Horde/Alliance?

I think it should have playable races views on non-playable too.

I think it would be good to include non-playable races, since those can still provide interesting conflict in certain types of RP or events.

Time for my suggestions.

Quote:Night Elves

You should add worgen. Some would see the worgen as a reminder of their failure, others would feel sorry for those who suffer because of their mistake. Maybe even hatred due to worry that some might just go feral again?

Quote:The Wildhammer Clan: Lord of the Skies

Add high elves. The Wildhammer actually wanted to trade with the high elves before the War of the Three Hammers, while the other two clans were like "What? Ew? That nasty, Wildhammer."

Quote:Distrust of the Dark Iron Clan, as many agents had been seen in Gnomeregan, possibly the culprits behind its destruction.

Culprits? Not really. It's not really a secret that it was Thermaplugg's trickery that destroyed Gnomeregan and created the leper gnomes. The Dark Iron NPCs in the dungeon are ambassadors just trying to get an ally.

Quote:The Worgen: The Cursed Bystander

Pretty short. You could add in the typical orc and forsaken hate here.

I'll leave Draenei to @CappnRob if he ever appears in this thread.

Actually, Matty-baby, the Worgen bit was supposed to be short. If someone makes a worgen, they should take a look at the Nation they are from, and then add the Worgen bits to that. I will make edits concerning the Gnomes, Wildhammers, and Night Elves shortly enough!

Even if they're Hillsbrad Worgen, they'll have a problem with undead and orcs. Hillsbrad Worgen are the survivors of Southshore and Hillsbrad Fields that were forced to retreat to Fenris Isle because of that damn New Plague. It could still be a note.

As for Worgen that get captured and forced to take a cure in Duskwood? No forsaken or orcs down there, at least.

No, but every human still hates the Orcs and Undead. Duskwood is overrun by the Undead and was once overrun by the Orcs. Worgen aren't a new race, in terms of old hatreds. They'd carry over their inherit prejudices. Hillsbrad was owned by Lordaeron and then by Stormwind by the time of Vanilla WoW. Trust me, Matty-baby, I got this. <3

Now you have to write every Orc clan. Including the Dark Scar and Redwalker. All of them.

The draenei don't distrust all Arakkoa. The Skettis exiles actually have a recent history paralleling that of the Draenei- a false prophet proclaimed that he was the avatar of Terokk, basically the god-king of Arakkoa. Kirrik the Awakened recieved a vision from a naaru, and then exiled themselves from their own people to follow the Naaru and the Light.

Draenei would likely feel a greater kinship with the Skettis Exiles than any other race, especially since the Scryers are kinda dicks to them and the Alliance just kinda forgot that the Draenei existed.

Draenei in general are a little more complex than other races because they're not -quite- so rooted in bigotry and racism as the rest of WC's races. They can really go both ways, especially considering their alien nature to others.

Concerning orcs, it would likely be the younger, Draenor born Draenei who would hold them with the most contempt, as well as a majority of the Oshu'gun generation. Ogres are likely hated much more given they were never friendly to begin with, but even then you see few in Shattrath.

As for the Blood Elves, they were outright forgiven by Velen himself, though their fel corruption and such would likely still instill a sense of distrust or lingering resentment.

And Velen saw to the acceptance of the Broken/Lost Ones with Nobundo, there's even a quest in Zangarmarsh where you try to integrate a Lost One tribe back into the fold.

As for Alliance races, Draenei may find a sense of kinship with Light-followers, or they may frown upon their inter-faction schisms, short-sightedness, or impulsiveness (particularly regarding humans). They may find them strange and weird, or even disagree with their approach to the Light (Draenei reverence is fairly different from a human or dwarf's).

Due to their constantly unstable lifestyle and general immortality, Draenei are imo a real case by case basis when it comes to prejudice. Familiarize yourself with both sides of the coin and pick what you enjoy the most.
Your stories will always remain...

Ah! Thanks there @CappnRob and @Dae! I will make the edits as soon as I can!

Edit: I keep forgetting that Cerb got that post reserved. Could @Reigen or @loxmardin be cool enough to grant me Cerb's post up there? And while you're are it, Brutal's reserved post? I'm going to be the only one to upkeep and make edits to the guide. Thanks!
