The piece, which ran under the magazine's Social Hot-Spots & Dens section, was an expose on a new tavern opening up in the Bay–

"You want a drink? Fine. You want a place to crash? Yea', we got that," explained Vetia Blacklock.
"But if you want an experience? Something that has that...Jena Says Qwa?

"You come to us."

Bold words coming from the once-bartender, now bar-owner Ms. Blacklock, who just this week
finished signing the lease agreement for a prime stretch of Booty Bay real-estate.

Blacklock - who came into wealth after the timely death of her father, of Blacklock & (Mostly) Sons Guns
& Killing fame - has chosen to renovate the ship to serve as, in her own words 'A Really [Expletive Omitted]
Great Place.'

"I came here to bring booze back to Booty Bay," Blacklock said in a private interview with Green Style Quarterly.
"Not jussa'n inn. Not jussa'n a club. I wanna make a place where you can get right good weird."

Though Blacklock has declined to speak further with our publication after the theft of her silver-ware and a case of beer
from her hold, the Booty Bay Business Authorities bribery ledger has the new tavern listed under the name:
The Booty Bay Social Club.

Only time will tell how profitable, or how 'weird,' this venture truly will be.

Overview

The Booty Bay Social Club, or Bay Club for short, is a player-run and operated casual role-playing setting. The club provides, much like its predecessor, a place for players un-attached or otherwise distant from current action or storylines to play and socialize.

To help keep role-play beyond just idle tavern chatter, the player staff of the Bay Club will provide random events and diversions for the characters who frequent the tavern. Games, tournament fights, adventure opportunities and other diversions will all be on the Club's menu.

The tavern's location, in the heart of Booty Bay, allows characters from all factions and races to participate. The amenities, which range from private apartments to a gathering hall and arena, is also designed to accommodate any player's role-playing tastes.

Location

The Club is currently located in Booty Bay on the docks, on the ship immediately to the right of the OOC Teleporter.

Amenities

To better accomplish its goal of entertaining the player-base, the Booty Bay Social Club has a wide range of amenities and areas for players to use in their role-play.

The first (and by far largest) attraction on the ship is the above-deck arena. The arena can be used by anyone, so long as all violence is kept on the deck. It's the only part of the ship where violence is not only tolerated, but encouraged.

The main body of the club is the tavern, which encompasses the upper-level lounge and main level bar. The space is designed for socialization, and patrons can take private tables or belly up to the bar.

Beyond that is the social hall, where groups and guilds can hold discussions, meetings or just small, social-style events.

The lower hold contains the library, a relatively quiet place where more leisurely, academic-minded players can relax.

For patrons who would like to remain the night, the Club offers two sleeping arrangements. The cheapest is the communal beds in the hold, which include tables, bedding and even a convenient bath-tub-like thing. But for players with an eye for a bit more luxury, you can rent out the Private Apartment, a three-room space just off the lower bar complete with bedroom, living room and bath-house.

Staff

The tavern is currently run by the goblin entrepreneur Miss Vetia Blacklock.

The Booty Bay Social Club is currently hiring three main staff members to help with the overseeing and running of the tavern.

Head Bartender

Current Head Bartender: None
The master of the bar, the Head Bartender keeps liquor and food pumping into patrons. Their domain is the entire ship, not just behind the bar, and they work unceasingly to make sure their staff is keeping the patrons entertained.

Head Bouncer

Current Head Bouncer: None
An agent of (rough) peace, the Head Bouncer is the one who ensures that any argument or fight is resolved peacefully. Or, if peace is not possible, resolved by ditching the offenders over the side of the ship to cool off in the bay.

Head Host

Current Head Host: None
The Head Host has a simple job: Make people happy. The Head Host is dedicated towards that goal completely, and they throw themselves into the position with gusto. They socialize, assist and do whatever they can to ensure everyone who enters the tavern leaves with a drunken smile and an empty purse.

Event Calendar

The Bay Club is designed to mostly be a free-form experience, with small mini-events and distractions hosted based on the number of players on or how many are currently playing on the ship.

Other, larger events will be schedule, however. These larger events will be posted here.

Currently there are plans for a large opening event. More information will be posted here on where and when it will be held.

There was a very, very brief time where I was (drunkenly) seriously considering calling it the Booty Social Club.

Sober heads prevailed.

On a serious note: The Booty Bay Social Club is currently hiring. The main post has been updated accordingly.

Also, thanks in no small part to Reigen, the ship will be renovated shortly. Once that is done, we will be posting information for the opening event.
