We need to talk about the Horde.

The Taunka in me greatly approves.

I agree with flammos.

BUT that said, some horde-alliance conflict would be cool. Maybe events with the Warsong and NElves, Theramore, etc.

But I think we should focus on advancing the Cata story.

So that I can play a monk already. :l

(Kidding.)

Spoiler:
mostly

(no but really)

The old Orc was filth. His judgement was harsh and not entirely true, especially since he - the worn-down elder that he was - and the sweat and grime that clung to the borders of his body like so many aggressive interlopers were, indeed, two separate objects. Nonetheless, he felt they'd become one and the same a long time ago. Even the fact that he considered a few months "a long time" indicated to him how far his ailment and its treatment had shrunk his mind.

That wasn't to say that his surroundings were anything short of spectacular. Thunder Bluff was many things - a marvel of Horde engineering, a defensive position unrivaled anywhere else on the continent, the seat of the greatest druids and some of the greatest shaman that had walked this world and proof that there can still be coexistence with the natural world - and 'boring' could hardly be said to be among them.

But even the wonder of a place like this evaporates quickly when one is confined to lie down in a closed hut for even a few months.

The very nature of his sickness infuriated him because it escaped him - the two who had attended to him all this time were sure that it was due to the handling of rock scorched by the cursed flames of Neltharion, which had caused a deep wound somewhere intangible inside of him. Something akin to a curse. He didn't appreciate that subtle tone of chastisement in their voices.

But now he was fine. The wound had been filled through the only honest magicks remaining in this world, and he'd have had it no other way. Anything else that plagued him would be solved by a walk, which he intended to enjoy. He was ready to leave. But, before he was ready to face the sunlight outside, he needed to sort something out.

Zeth'ugram began writing two letters.

Whiteclaw.

I am returning. I will include a map of the path I will take. Meet me along it if this message finds you before I arrive.

Mistcaller.

Whenever this courier finds you, go to Bloodhoof Village. If I am not there, go to Orgrimmar. We need to talk about the Horde.

His calligraphy had expectedly deteriorated over time.

He scribbled a childish path on a map of the continent of Azeroth, and inserted it into the first letter.

With his affairs in order and having had a bath, the Orc sets out alone on the gentle first leg of his journey home...
Calling all Cows
Wherein Zeth'ugram Mok-Gol'rand travels from the city of Thunder Bluff to the Great Gate.
Races of the Old Horde are encouraged to drop in during the trek, but Tauren are desired the most!
This event will be safe and focus on problem solving, discussing, arguing and a bit of camping.
Players are allowed to drop in or out at any time, though the more that stick along the better!
The date of this first, gentle leg of the journey will be taking place on Wednesday (Third of December)
Begins around 1:00 PM Server Time and ends when they reach the Great Gate, however long that takes.

Make the Centaurs into a credible enemy in the barrens again and fight them instead of the alliance? (as an addition to the previously given idea of Quilboars).

Have the feeling again you had in Warcraft 3, when you start with the orcish campaign. "We're in a hostile and wild land, a few allies and plenty of chance for glory!"

Fight with the tauren, defend caravans from centaur or Quilboar attack, fight demons, wipe out the alliance military attacking the barrens.
Combat can be against the alliance, but does not have to be, there are plenty of semi-organised foes we can demonise into "an evil empire".

If I didn't have work, Takoda would definitely be there. If you have more of these (please do) I'll try to come to those.

It's too bad this is so early in the day, or I'd really love to drop by.

@"KomodoTheCashew", the current plan is to have 3 or 4 of these travelling events (I'm not entirely sure), so don't worry!

Is anybody else unable to make it at the current time? I consulted the old spreadsheet and a few people in-game for it, and it's not exactly the most opportune for me, so if it'd by-and-large be better to pick a later time then I'd be totally open to it.

A later time would work best for me as well.

Hm... I do have a cow or two who could most definitely be part of this, but provided I've done my calculations correctly, this event starts at three in the morning on my time. Odds are I'd be able to be there for the start of it, but I'd need to leave partway through, so a later time would work better for me as well.

(Woo, go Horde! I need to play my Hordies more often.)

I put up a simple dimple little poll which should help out the timing problem! Feel free to tick as many batches of hours you're comfortable with starting the event on.

Okay! The time here has been bumped up to 1:00 PM ST, which hopefully sorts out most peoples' problems!

I might be late, but I think I can make it. Would a blood elf be welcome?
