World of Warcraft and Warcraft RPG Core books

Notice however Arcanist divided into Mage, Warlock and Necromancer however. All are core classes.

But would that not fall under Multi-classing?

No. . . No it would not. You may only choose one Arcanist Path at a time. Same thing with Healer, whose paths are Druid, Shaman, and Preist.
Rule 1: All people are stupid and can be made to believe anything.
Rule 3: Passion overrules reason and you must always hold your emotions in check and think logically.

Just keep in mind that on the server presstige classes are closed for peons, visitors and grunts.

If you see something that seems interesting you can ask a GM if that would be Ok to play, don´t count too much on things like Arch-mage, Elven Ranger, Runemaster or Necromancer unless you are a Hero.

By the by, for the people who don't want to use torrents, just send me a message ingame (see characters, usually Wink) and I could send them over MSN. If you want a single book, that'll most likely go faster than torrents. =)

Just to start some conversation on the whole prestige / hero classes thing:
A lot of these are already in WoW because they were chopped to pieces to make the normal classes.

A witch doctor for example. Chain heal, alchemy, hex? Everything I just listed is already present if you take a shaman with alchemy.
Bladestorm from a Blademaster? Warrior.
Beastmaster? A beastmaster spec hunter who fights in melee.

It seems a bit odd to limit the prestige classes that are already incorporated into the base classes in WoW.

Ya that brings up if certain classes are going to base classes, the witch doctor in d20 is a base class. Here are a few.
Scout
Witch Doctor (racial variant for forsaken is apothecary)
Necromancer (One of the three types of Arcanist including mage and warlock.)
Runemaster
Monk(This is added by many people to d20 warcraft from normal d20 since it is seen in so many places across azeroth.)

And this is just a handful. But overall these ones i see getting the most attention.

Something that I think is being misinterpreted a lot...
when we say 'prestige' class, we mean a prestige class for the server itself. Meaning, a class that has abilities that no other current playable classes have.

By that logic though, there are some prestige classes that are just plain odd, because their skills are already in the game, or can at least be played out very well.

A ranger is merely a hunter without a pet, a gunman the same. The majority of the archmage spells were chopped up and added to normal mages, such as the water elemental. A gladiator can easily be RPed out as a warrior wearing leather armor, while a witchdoctor is just a shaman with alchemy. They even already get their ability to hex stuff.

Basically, what I'm saying is, a lot of those prestige classes can easily be handled without needing any GM support. A demon hunter I agree, it would take GM support to make them look realistic, but a ranger? Hardly.

(And on a sidenote, humans tend to become gunmen as well, quite often, actually, yet they're not listed as one of the races.)

The thing is, I've never personally had problems with people putting their character as a gladiator, ranger, etc... SO LONG AS the person didn't try to claim any special abilities. This is the real issue, when people of the past have attempted to do so. That is the focus.
However, other prestige classes could be claimed as a title of some sort (ie, Archmage), which is something we steer folks away from, hence why (perhaps) we've simply clumped them all together and have simply said 'no prestige classes.'

Other GMs, correct me if my memory is fuzzy.

Tales23 Wrote:I actually got a question as well. Would we be able to use spells in the Warcraft RPG Books?

If they're in the RPG, they exist in the warcraft universe.

Excuse me while I shape shift into an Ancient.

And realize at 16th level druids are immortal and don't age.
