Ah, great. Well, I guess I will be going through the rather lengthy process of installing the game and expansions. I'll post back here when I start. Thanks for all the replies.

...And I'm back once again. I have absolutely no idea what I will be role playing at this point and my lack of knowledge when it comes to the World of Warcraft Lore really hinders my activity. I shall be thinking of some type of unique character to begin role playing as and try to come back as soon as possible.

Yeah, I'm kind of overwhelmed. Mind bringing me up to speed — anything major I missed? Like I stated, I'm not all that sure when it comes to World of Warcraft Lore, so I'm sure there was some events that had happened and I'll be totally clueless.
Not to derail this topic, although it's totally derailed at this point, are you some-what knowledgeable when it comes to Warcraft role play? If so, would you mind adding my MSN and we could speak further on this.

A good way to start on RPing in WoW is to get the biggest, most serious events set in your mind. And only the events that REALLY alter the world. I started by only looking into Human lore and major events for them, then I made a Human based off those events.
Once you have the major events down, look into the people who caused these events to happen. Read up on their history and once you've done that, move on to another event and it's major participants. Pretty simple process, and it's not that hard to get down really.
