Levels In Conquest of the Horde (CotH)
#1
We've all seen them, and they're still here. I mean levels. The levels of characters are, in few ways, important, and, in more ways, not important. Even with this in mind, they still stare blankly at us for some reason (Blizzard).

Several Points must be made about levels on this realm, and how they relate to us. Here are the most common points about them:

-A Character's Power (In Character)-
This is seen a lot on retail. This is where a character's power is based soley off of the level that they have obtained through the game mechanics.

This is not true on our server. Every character is just as powerful as the next one, regardless of level. To determine power there are factors that determine how strong a character is such as training, experience, and/or advantages.

-RP Experience (Out Of Character)-
Again, on retail, most low leveled characters were, sadly, greifers who didn't RP often. Most players commonly avoided these lower levels to have an experience, probably better that they would've otherwise had.

On our server though, please do remember that we're all RPers no matter the level. The quality from a level 80 can be just as good from a 3. With this in mind, please do RP with anyone, not just higher levels. Thanks to the help of the player-base, there should never be any greifing.

-NPCs and You (In Character)-
With every character equal in levels, so must the NPCs be as well. This ensures a fair gameplay, even by the NPCs. Again, there are factors that determine how strong an NPC is ICly, so don't use their level.

A GM won't always RP an NPC for you, so you must sometimes take control of it. When you do, remember to act like the NPC would most likely act. If you wish to fight an NPC, please do remember that they have factors to determine their power ICly. With this said, it would be much tougher to take on a faction-guard NPC, than a drunk NPC.

Overall, please do remember that levels should hardly ever be used for anything on this server. ((Other than item-usage and safe travelling OOCly))
