The Guide to Getting Started and Fixing Technical Problems

Thats ok. It's the thought which counts! It seems risky, and sketchy altogether but Maybe some one could copy their config.wtf file, and let me input their data.
You never stood a chance if you never tried to try.

I'll upload the contents of mine, really, it's nothing personal.
Contents of file at C:\PROGRAM FILES\WOW COTH\WTF\CONFIG.WTF
Spoiler:
SET readTOS "1"
SET readEULA "1"
SET readTerminationWithoutNotice "-1"

SET Sound_EnableSoftwareHRTF "1"
SET Sound_OutputDriverIndex "1"
SET Sound_EnableReverb "1"
SET groundEffectDensity "32"
SET Sound_EnableAmbience "0"

I removed three from the spoiler, as they won't work since it's your computer. They are:
  • SET Sound_OutputDriverName "Realtek HD Audio rear output"
  • (Which tells what sound driver to send sound to; upon keeping this you would lose the ability to hear anything)
  • SET gxResolution "1280x1024"
  • (Which says what resolution to run this from; this depends on your monitor type, and with one like this with a different monitor, you might not be able to see WoW, ever.)
  • SET accountName "herolief"
  • (Now this should be quite obvious...)

YOU WILL HAVE TO ADJUST YOUR OPTIONS IN-GAME TO OPTIMIZE YOUR GRAPHICS, SOUND, AND INTERFACE CHOICES. A TIP IS TO KEEP A RENAMED COPY OF YOUR CURRENT CONFIG.WTF.

hmm do I need exactly every patch linked on your post, because I start up wow with the normal wow realmlist, and theirs no new patchs. and for some reason even when I redo the blizzard original realmist I can't get on any more. X_x I think I have to reinstall.
You never stood a chance if you never tried to try.

ok I just finished installing the original wow. Should I start patching now or what should I do regarding patching? Install TBC, and WOTLK then patch up?

Ok first off. I downloaded all the patches (( took about 12 freaking hours -_- )) and "WoW-3.0.9-to-3.1.0-enUS-OSX-patch" and "WoW-3.1.3-to-3.2.0-enUS-OSX-patch" Didn't come with actual patches. Second I can't jump connect to wow using the original realm list to download all the patches can I? (( and please do realize I was hoping to play this year but I'm either a complete idiot or this is overly complex ))
