WE TESTIN' NOW.
As you can see...there are some funky bugs on the server...
I have my doubts that one member of the GM team will wish to abandon this test server. One, particular, single member.
To elaborate: Apparently the Draenei guards have some interesting quotes upon engagement.

"I will crush you! yes yes yes!!!"
Is Clovis wearing sunglasses? ohmygodyouguysweneedtoswitchtocatabecausetheyhavesunglassesforgethebugsomglookhowclassyhelooks
Sunspectacles. SPECTACLES OF THE SUN.
(We've got sunglasses in wrath, I mean what?)

Sounds like a mix of Hulk and Ducky ("The Land Before Time").

This observation was made, aye-- strangely enough the Stormwind royal guards... do it too. Albiet with 'Yes yes yes GET OUT' or something along those lines.

I've been told that one explanation is that the core was started in another language, and has been translated with engrish in places.

I still have difficulty understanding how 'yes yes yes' was translated not once, but twice.
I would like to note that the Engrish is being fixed as we speak... By which I mean, I created a bug report and someone with more knowledge of SQL than I then went to look through all the text to check what needed fixing and even what belonged (and, apparently, there's about 150 lines of ambient gossip that shouldn't even be there).

EDIT: Just checked through some places. The Shields of Velen still have their "yes yes yes!!!" line. Darnassus, on the other hand, appears cured of its speech deficiency... Sadly, the world's a bit too big for me to check all of it but I do know 118 lines of text have been fixed or removed because they had no place there. Stormwind was also completely silent when I checked it and I didn't see anyone saying anything in Sentinel Hill, either.

I see it on the issue tracker - thanks! Very nice!
I say we wait. All we stand to gain from switching earlier is having Cata sooner, when what we stand to lose is having any number of issues, with the solution potentially being unavailable without potentially breaking the server. I'd rather not have regrets.

Though while Cata's on everybody's mind, is there anything us non-GMs can do? Perhaps there's some custom changes made to the server that could be more conveniently documented, or any policy issues that we could mull on or the likes?
