Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

I´d like everyone to check the wiki Character category for their approved characters to make sure that they are there, if they are not please check the "Approved Profiles Pending Gruntship" section of the forums, if it´s in neither places I want you to post Name of the profile as well as character name in a reply to this topic.
This is to make sure that all characters are entered into the Wiki, if your character isn´t, the consequences will be dire...
Do not post anything but replies pertaining your characters if you can´t find their profiles, if you derail the topic wrath of the Prophet will descend upon you.
And don´t forget to check both pages of the Character category!

About Denied Introductions |

Due to the sheer volume of introductions that are being accepted and denied right now, I am not going to PM the recipients of a denial. If you find your intro gone and it hasn't been moved to the Approved Introductions sub-forum, you are denied.
I will resume sending PMs to denied players once I've actually gotten through what's currently on my plate, and if the flow of new introductions slows to a reasonable pace (So that I'm not moving ten at a time).

I recently received a letter from the renowned explorer and hunter Hemet Nesingwary Jr. It seems he's opened a challenge to all willing adventurers.
Hemet Nesingwary Jr. Wrote:Bwahaha! I've heard you whelps think you're real hot shots! Think you'll take a challenge from an old Adventurer like myself?
Of course you do! That's not a question I should have to ask!
Now then, I figure you'll want specifics! Well, I've gotten word of two great beasts lurking around Ashenvale. These two Nightsabers keep separate territories in the deeper woods, and the Elves say they´ve seen both haunting their old ruins. But be careful , aye? One of those beasties is bigger than the other.
Afraid that's all I can tell you! I know where the beasties are, but I won't make it too easy for you younglings! And remember, no hunt is successful without a story. I'd better hear about it after you bring me a paw from either, I might even have something nifty lying around waiting for the killer.
[[OOC note: The sabers are in two different areas of Ashenvale, and -you- need to find and kill them. One beast is of lower level for the newer characters, so you can fight both of them ingame. However, for the kill to count IC'ly, you need to post a detailed story of at least 250 words about your kill. Yes, there will be prizes.]]

Attention Visitors!
Effective April 17, 2009: Our introduction template has been revamped. Please refer to this template when posting your introduction. All introductions utilizing the old system will no longer be considered.
To maintain the quality and containment of our server populace, we have reverted to our previous introduction system. We have revoked the priveledge to visitors from being able to create game accounts. We felt this was necessary to prevent potential abuse, deter anonymity within our community, and place importance upon writing proper introductions. We believe that it is paramount in respect to our server patrons, as well as reinforcing that we desire quality over quantity.
For existing visitors that have game accounts and are awaiting status upon your introductions: If your introductions have been approved, you will be moved to Peon rank, and your gameplay will remain unhindered. For those whose accounts are denied, your account will be closed in accordance to eliminating all substandard presences within our community.

-DO NOT PATCH-
As those that play on Retail still are aware, Patch 3.1 is coming out today (Tuesday). Those of you that still switch between here and Retail, be sure you that you make a copy of your WoW folder before patching up, otherwise you may not be able to reconnect to the server for several weeks unless you manage to patch back down.
For those that don't play on retail, be sure that your realmlist matches the one here on the site, and also ensure that the "Show Launcher" option on the log-in screen in the lower-left corner is unchecked.
