Welcome!
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

  Character Profiles put on Hold.

sasail Wrote:Self explanatory.

Due to the server coming down for an amount of time all current character profiles (ones that are not approved) will be locked and moved to inactive. If you wish to recreate your character after you can post another profile.

Profiles that are made while the server is currently down will also be moved so don't think you're jumping the gun here.

Answering Some Common Questions about "Big Changes!"
Posted by: Qaza - 11-23-2008, 08:05 AM - Forum: Community News - Replies (22)

Now, to answer some of your questions. (Not all of them, more will be answered soon!)

There will be a new "rank" system on the forums (our current ranks are Peon, Grunt, GM, and Admin) that will affect character leveling, server access, and other things. There will be a detailed news post on this soon!

Approved character leveling and silver tokens will remain the same, although we are still discussing if an approved character will be leveled to 80 or have to level for ten levels (Oh no! Not exploration and adventure RP!). Rates will most likely remain exactly the same.

We know you're all excited about Death Knights, multiple-person vehicles, barbershops, and other new game mechanics, but we haven't tested them yet. When we get into the testing phase, we'll let you know what's working and what isn't. Please remember, though, that we have some serious reservations about Death Knight RP, and are discussing how best to make sure it is handled responsibly.

  Big Changes!
Posted by: Qaza - 11-22-2008, 05:24 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (39)

Exciting news, everyone! We'd like to announce that the server is ready to be updated to Wrath of the Lich King. To do this, we need to take the server down for a week or so to make sure everything runs smoothly. This downtime will occur in three days, so we suggest everyone attempts to find a "stopping/pausing point" in their RP.

During this time, we will unfortunately loose all accounts and characters, but this does allow us to sort of "start anew" and implement some changes to the server structure that we think our wonderful, dedicated RPers are going to appreciate. Please bear with us over the next week or so, and pardon our dust. We will continue posting news items as they come up!

We apologize for any inconvenience, but we'd like to assure you that this change is indeed very good!

  Meeting with leaders.
Posted by: Nostra - 11-09-2008, 08:27 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (11)

So, we´re going to try this leader-contact system out, bellow is a list of people you will be reffered to when requesting a meeting with a leader-figure, the list will be expanded upon after this initial testing. GM´s will puppet/play the characters and it is up to you to get through the layers of officials if you need to talk to the leader of a certain faction/group.

Quote:Stormwind - Lieutenant Cathal Fairhand, can be found in or near the command center.

Academy of Arcane Arts and Sciences - Professor "Blaze" Borst, can be found in or near the Academy´s building near the Stockades.

Wizard´s Guild - Senior Sorcerer Ennar Raidon, can be found in or near the Wizard´s Sanctum (Since the fall of the Sanctum he can be found with a majority of the other Wizard´s guild members in a tavern at the Dwarven District).

The Slaughter´s Coven - Acolyte Aristia, can be found at the top floor of the Slaugthered Lamb.

Brotherhood of Northshire
- Brother Caddon, can be found in or near the the Northshire Abbey.

Ironforge - Thief Catcher Tirga Steelgrip, can be found wandering the streets of Ironforge, especially around the Military Ward.

When you wish to speak to a leader PM a GM and they´ll make sure that the person playing the character your character will be reffered to is informed and can help you.

If there´s a certain faction (not the main ones like Orgrimmar or Silvermoon which will be added later) you´d like added feel free to post it here together with any information you have about them.
