Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

Patch 3.0.2 (I think that's it) is coming out tomorrow (Tuesday).
Be sure -not- to patch if you want to continue to be able to play on the server. As long as your realmlist is set how we have in several locations, then you will have no problems.
I'm going to guess that it may take a few weeks until the emulator code is caught up. In the mean time, for those that still play on Live, I'd suggest to make a copy of your WoW directory and patch up one of the directories while keeping the other one unpatched.

Quoted from Grakor's original post:
Quote:We are going to clean up the server. Players that have shown to be trouble-makers or just plain detrimental to the server as a whole will be removed. If you're worried that you'll be targeted, you probably will be.
This is our server. It is our right to choose who can and can not join.
That said, a portion of players have been removed from the server. Others are under consideration. It has gotten to the point again where we have had to make long posts detailing how to be decent to other human beings, and have witnessed people outright ignore the basic rule of RESPECT, chewing each other out in chat over trivial IC matters.
If we have spoken to you about your behavior, I will not sugar-coat this: You are being discussed. Your behavior is being considered. Mind your manners, refresh yourself on the rules and policies, and we won't have any further trouble.
