Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

I have a proposition for you. Some braggart was claiming to be the best hunter in Azeroth. I think he needs to earn the name. In fact, I think the name is up for grabs to the one who can prove him or herself to me.
So here is the test lads and lasses.
I've heard rumors of a giant raptor terrorizing the lands. Goes by the name Slytrantus or something of the like. I can't get a clear pinpoint on where he is but I have some clues.
He's wandering around his kind.
He was shipped across the sea from the Eastern Kingdoms and grew too large in the new land.
He terrorizes the orcs at watch posts.
So tell me. Are you up for the challenge?
The hunter who brings back his head may even get a reward for the trouble. Consider this your first test to becoming the Greatest Hunter in Azeroth!
Oh, and by the way you pups. A hunt without a grand tale to tell of the killing is not a hunt worth having. I expect the story be told, understood?

We realized that not everything could be clearly divided between LFG and BarrensChat. We've created the new chat channel, creatively titled 'chat' for all your discussion needs that don't involve 1337 speak, or lawl cat jokes. If you just want to discuss life, little OOC things, whatever, go ahead.
Once more, LFG will be used strictly for RP, Event, and Group seeking purposes.

My brethren, it is time. It is time for us to move. It is time for us to test our mettle against the so-called citizens of Azeroth. They defeated us once at Hyjal, but we are back--and more powerful than ever before.
A loud crash.
The world seems to split.
An uneasy feeling sweeps across the continents, both Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.
The sound of the explosion carries for miles and miles.
It came from the south.
The clattering of blades and drums of war are heard from Stranglethorn Vale to Dun Morogh.
The Battle for Azeroth has begun.

Come one come all, after much shifting, sliding, and soliciting the trial has finally been set for this Sunday! Come to the Dwarven District, in the North East corner. You'll find a great Dwarven Hall just North of the trams. This will be the court room, and just outside will be the hanging gallows! Sunday, 3:00 PM EDT, that's 12:00 noon for the west coasters! For information on the trial and execution, please see the links below. Siv's being tried for murder and arson, that's the short of it.

In order to keep players on their toes and encourage group roleplay, we proudly introduce the first COTH-specific Random World Boss, the Grue! The Grue is set to appear in insufficiently lit and well-populated (and not so well-populated) areas in the world at random, and should prove quite a challenge to even the strongest adventurers!
My advice? Travel in groups, have your weapons ready, and maybe invest in some Detect Invisibility potions.
We hope everyone will enjoy this new creature, and rise to the challenge! Happy April Fool's Day! ~Qaza
Edit with message revealed:
If you highlight the end of the last sentence, you will see the message that was there all along: "Happy April Fool's Day! ~Qaza". Hope you had a wonderful April 1st, everyone!
