My introduction hasn't been accepted yet, but can anyone tell me if i can play the private server on 3.3.3? Because i've just download allot of patches after recently installing WoW, and if i need to go back a few patches, could anyone tell me how?

Well, you're going to want to go into your data folder in WoW (I think), and delete the "Patch.mpq" file. Then, you shall open the Repair.exe program in the WoW folder, then check for damaged files. It'll repair the files and you will revert to an earlier patch, allowing you to repatch at leisure.

We're currently at 3.3.0 I think.

Move him into the sun—
Gently its touch awoke him once,
At home, whispering of fields half-sown.
Always it woke him, even in France,
Until this morning and this snow.
If anything might rouse him now
The kind old sun will know.

Think how it wakes the seeds,—
Woke, once, the clays of a cold star.
Are limbs, so dear-achieved, are sides,
Full-nerved—still warm—too hard to stir?
Was it for this the clay grew tall?
—O what made fatuous sunbeams toil
To break earth’s sleep at all?

We're currently at 3.3.2, as it says in big red text on the main page. Therefore, being at 3.3.3 will leave you unable to log in. Just follow the instructions Maulnub provided, and patch manually up to 3.3.2. For more detailed information, check the Technical Support forum and read the stickies there.

Why you gotta humiliate me in front of my new friend, Kret?

Maul, I think I'd be more humiliated about the fact he called you "Maulnub" instead of "Maulbane".

But yeah, I believe that those steps are legit, yo. If that doesn't work, then just keep the patches somewhere, reinstall WoW, and then patch back up. ^.^

I see big weepy Tauren hugging a Gnome and saying that to Kretol-Orc.

Thanks.

Since the main question here has been answered, I'd like to hijack the thread and ask if there's any way to have two downloaded files, one updated to 3.3.2, and one to 3.3.3? This is because a friend of mine has a server (don't worry, no advertisements here, just for goofing around) and I'd really like to be able to get on CotH without repairing and downloading every time. Any help?

If you have one at 3.3.2, then copy it and patch one of them up to 3.3.3! That's how a lot of people stay on retail and CotH.

Alright, great. But if anyone could help tell me how I'd go about copying it? I obviously don't just want two clones of the same program, but to have one 3.3.2 and one 3.3.3?

Copy is the appropriate word. You take the entire current World of Warcraft folder and then you copy it. The final result can be anywhere. It will take some time to do this, most likely, because it is a very large folder. I tend to delete a number of files when it's done, because you definitely don't need two copies of all of your old screenshots or even account/player settings. Once complete, you can downgrade one of the folders.

Regarding the process of downgrading, there are many, many, many posts on how to do this. This is just one example. If you follow what it says, you will have a working game.

I can't confirm this since I play only on PCs, but there are complications with downgrading if you play on a Mac.
