Is transferring to dedicated really necessary in the first place? I don't know about everyone else, but I've never experienced lag on CotH except when I have issues with my home internet shutting itself off. It's not that the restart itself bothers me at all really (as long as we get to keep most of our Echo and Gnomer stuffs), I just don't see the point in wiping all the characters and spawned stuff to get rid of lag that doesn't seem to exist in the first place. If people are having lag problems, then yeah. Go ahead. XD

Would it be possibly to, say, transfer over one character per player? This way, we wouldn't have as much of a hassle when dealing with items and the like.

I understand we are only retconning what is necessary to stay within lore, but with this server wipe may we ( we as in individuals ) go further with our retcons? For instance, if I wanted to reroll Nexariel as a Magi instead of a Shaman and start from scratch and treat all of her interactions etc as never having taken place, may I do so provided I change her profile accordingly?

Starting from scratch is something I want to do with quite a few of my characters in fact, hehe.

We aren't going to a dedicated server. What we are going to attempt is to change the core. Meaning, we won't be ArcEmu any more, and will have a lot more options available that what we have at the moment.

Moving to Trinity is a smart move. Had a server with a buddy for a few friends that ran on that. I can tell you for sure it runs great with 1-5 people, if that's any consolation at all.

But I don't know if I'm understanding correctly -- we have to completely redo profiles? I don't understand why if they're the same character. Of course, unless they were highly influenced by something that now didn't happen.
