Boredom and the Beta - Cataclysm Comparisons

Woot woot, your friendly neighborhood Mikain here. Yeah Yeah, it's been a long while.

I've been out of it for so long that I decided to join in the fun. People might have already seen these areas, I had before going to them, but not everyone has. They're pretty cool to see even if you have seen similar already anyway. I also understand that not everyone is in the know on obtaining beta files. I can't spread that, but I can show you what's up. Seeing images is nothing like actually running around there. Or better yet flying there. But try to enjoy the screens, doods.

I did this months ago. Kretol told me I shouldn't post pics here before release, or Blizzard may try and shut COTH down. It might be different now that it's in beta, but I dunno.


On topic though. I really like the new world in Cata. It's an amazing improvement.

Alright then. Yes, it's a beautiful new world. I especially love Gilneas and the Graveyard behind the cathedral. Lost Isles is also really well made.

Herasy! I think Orgrimmar looks wonderful, and less flat. I'm probably one of a few that said Stormwind only looks okay.

Oyush. Orgrimmar makes me squee in delight. Though, that fountain inside the Trade District of Stormwind is in itself a rather nice minor improvement. :3

I've always found Orgrimmar design to be very lacking, as it doesn't provide the right atmosphere when roleplaying. However, after seeing the pics of the new Orgrimmar, I believe I've found myself a future personal RP hub!

Ogrimmar reminds me of hellfire citadel a lot with the twisting metal and dark coloring. Plus it makes Ogrimmar look more like a city then a collection of quickly built structures out of what was easily available. Really makes me want to make a Orc just to experience the new Ogrimmar since I was fan of Orcs before thrall had leadership and new Ogrimmar reminds me of old horde.

Stormwind looks awesome but sad to see the instance portal going away, guess blizzard had to put one final nail in coffin and bury it. New fountain in trade district looks awesome with the water. I've seen more screen shots and video's of Stormwind and it is equally awesome as new Ogrimmar. My favoriate part of Stormwind face lift is all the new land around the city.

Gate to Mulgore joke I wonder how tauren will get out of there starting zone now. Crowds of tauren standing on Mulgor side.

Do it. More Orcs are required. In fact, the number of Orcs is directly proportional to the amount of awesome in any one given area.

Orgrimmar looks amazing. The atmosphere is really different and it seems the main colors of brown and red have been updated to black, orange and red. I like.
