I have one question, just for clarification - I studied this point specifically in the existing Succubus lore, and while it does say that many of them serve the Burning Legion, those that are linked to a Warlock are not servants of the Legion. So is it conceivable that a Succubus would not be a servant of the Legion under the right circumstances? Or is it the GM's view that this is impossible?

Just like hunters capture beasts and tame them, a warlock captures a demon. However, demons have some form of sentience, so they won't exactly sway to the warlock's side. (Would you if you were enslaved by something weaker then you?)

So all demons serve the burning legion in one way or another, but Warlocks can enslave some temporarily for their own use.

Actually, I read that succubi have a tendency to fall in love with their masters.

Honestly if I did it I wouldn't use a custom display ID but try and be creative with the equipment I have on hand. I think I saw tier gear that made horns on your character and I could see putting those on a female blood elf and saying she was a succubus in Flagrsp if it ever got approved. Sort of like how Aurel is a ghoul without the need for a ghoul model, right?

It's not love, it's obsession. They become, sometimes violently, overprotective of their Warlock master, and see any member of the opposite sex as a direct threat.

Violently overprotective?...My ex girlfriend was a demon!

But on a serious note, If I remember correctly all demon races joined the legion either by choice or, if I remember correctly x2, some were forced into it, but I'm pretty sure, like their masters, demons wouldn't be the carbon copies Retail makes them out to be.
If anything, some may -enjoy- working for a warlock, but as for playing one without a master, I doubt it.

Without a master I think they'd work for the legion, otherwise how did they get to Azeroth?

Now, on the other hand, you could play a human female warlock who just loves to seduce boys and make them her play things.

I am sure some of these boys wouldn't mind you introducing a pet succubus to the bedroom, if they are a warlock....hehe
Pain is an illusion.

Meh, I was quoting WoWWiki. WoWWiki says, "love", I say "love".
