A new /roll 50 fight system. The "Stand off" system!

On your turn, you have to roll over 35 to be able to heal one hit point. 50 heals 2 hit points.

These are just 2 options, respond with anything that could help.


I thought the whole point of this system is to make battles quicker, but the one you suggested makes it longer.

Not quite so, the healing does make it a tad longer, though as someone who fought in this system, pure chance has still alot to do with it
What makes combat with the /roll 100 command is the factor of Dodging, which, if you roll a number from 1 to 100, is increased.
The same factor is decreased as the roll command is used for a lower number, in this case /roll 50.
Counters can be used to block and attack, but block and heal sounds a little pointless
Scenario:
Fighter A assaults Fighter B with an uppercut to the jaw.
Fighter B dodges it, and casts a healing spell over himself.

This Scenario makes no combative sense, the most logical thing to do when Fighter A messes up the blow, is for Fighter B to weaken him, and perhaps defeat him.

But, Option B, healing instead of assault, makes more sense, considering both actions take energy, thus it is only logical for the fighter to lose his turn, thus not necessarily making the fight longer.

Also, regarding the system:

I like the Idea of having a system that can overall do some sort of healing and Traid had the right idea with option B
To Be honest I think it would be nice to heal if the fight is almost over and you are thinking you are going to lose.
I made this system because I did not want it to drag it out so let me offer up something that is based off his option.


Healing. If it is your turn you can roll a d50 and if you roll higher then a 30 you will gain 1 life. If you roll higher then a 45 you will gain 2 life. HOWEVER!
As you are focused on healing you loss some concentration on your opponent. He may be charging at you with a humongusomgwtfisthat weapon but your leg might almost be taken off!
Therefore you would loss 10 points on your defending roll and this might actually cost you the game.

I can not really tell you how to fight during any game. It is up to you and the other person who you have agree conditions to. I know for instance My good friend Demi likes to have a good long fight. Others want it to be done with in like 2 minutes. It is up to you all to decide on how this will work.
