I was also gonna marry Skaar. But when I revealed myself to be a ghost wolf, he left me. He wanted me back later, but I just couldn't do it. He broke my heart.

Anywho, the mobs can just be phased, unless they're important for any quests. Then again, there are bunches of other quests.

Not to mention... Alcaz is useless as it is now. Nothing Lore Related there is left, no quests except the Scepter quest that most people wont do any how.

Maybe a rickety boat at the docks and... We have a winner for 'S@#!iest Shanty Town'.

Would the area be rife with Alliance loving swashbucklers, or perhaps crammed full of Horde baddies? Calling the area neutral would be cool but knowing your "criminal" characters they might not all be fine with neutrality.

As did I, but I bounced on over there earlier today. Full of level 50 or so elites. And a black drake up on a cliff for lulz. You can't even attack him. It looks like shenanigans, but they're there for some reason. *shrug*

They're there because Varian was being kept there by the black dragonflight as they split his soul in half and sent all the bad parts of Varian back to rule stormwind. Naga eventually attacked for I don't even know why and they barely escaped alive. Then they proceded to kill onyxia by sacrificing eachother for eachother and becoming one again.

On the horde/alliance thing. Its neutral. Not because someone declared it so. But because you don't wanna make a racial comment surrounded by an equal mix of the nastiest examples of each race xD

Still, nothing is stopping the, for example, hordies to band together and kill/chase away the disorganized alliance. Could be intersting.

I'm totally into this. My character Relael/Firebrand was created specificly for this. She is being fettered even in the catacombes (where she is gonna stay), so I would make a new character just for this. And pallies... Woohoo! BBQ!!! Warlockery in the open! Shanking people just to steal their hat! Wooo!!!!
And I agree. Character warning in progress all the time. And I've never come across anything playing Horde requiring you to go to Alcaz Island... So... Why not? (Yes, my statement does imply that I couldn't give a stuff about Alliance quests. Cuz I don't! :P)

I'll tell you now, destroying an existing down, useful or not, will -not- fly, what so ever with our policy on keeping things relatively unchanged until Cata considering what we don't know is going to change, the problem we had with our custom lore back before the restart etc. That said, I'd be more then happy to try my hand and building a town in the middle of no where, possible with Grand Architect Rigley.
