Heyo CoTHians.
Right, I had an idea, and I was hoping the idea might be able to be talked over with the good folks of CotH, in the hopes that one day, it might become a reality in the CotH world.
Well, the thing is, as much as I have seem the occasional lawbreakers and such in town's and cities, I feel the place is missing a certain element of lawlessness, as in, even in the most uncivilised and brutal parts of the world, there is still guards, rules, regulations, and general snuffing out of all civil unrest. Now my idea is, we need a place where there is no guards, no law's, no rules, but is also accessible to players. So I propose, maybe we can come up with some ramshackle town, or camp, where the only law is what you can defend with sword or spell. If someone doesn't like what your doing, tough, only way they can stop you is if they can beat you into stopping. I like this idea as even the catacombs have laws, rules, guards, certain people are permitted and some are not, if you steal, the guards will kill you just as any other city.
The place could maybe simply be put up with some shacks and a bar, in the middle of nowhere, or could utilise one of the many abandoned towns already in game, and all it would need I believe to bring it to life would be easy access, such as a GMI portal to and from it. While its currently possible to be totally lawless in uninhabited areas of the game world, Its very rare to come across someone, and 99 of the time you have to organise it to run into someone. This way, it could essentially lead to some mildly organised chaos. And everyone loves a bit of chaos.
Warriors could be there to prove they are fearless. Paladins could venture there to try, succeeding or failing, to snuff out the lawless rabble. It would be great fun in my opinion. It would only need a location, and while technically it wouldn't exist in lore, there is no reason why people could not descend on some abandoned place and set up shop away from prying eyes of guards and the opinions of civilisation, as far as I can tell
SO what do you all think? Possible? Good idea?
