... Or we could just drop the idea of all characters could make requests, but only guilds as whole.
Guilds would just be "forced" to do some sort of business with people. Mercenaries need garments, pirates need tailors etc.
All sort of guilds -need- something from the outside.

Yeah, too much work, and guess what? It makes roleplay a gameplay element where if you don't grind hard you don't get cash. Economies are hard to start up.
I, for one, will not use IC money even if it's truly implemented. I do keep a stash of GHI money which I raise and lower based on my RP, but using common sense usually works wonders. My Lilyth would never pay for something worth 1g whereas Frishe would have few problems, provided she got good loots to resell.
So I think making money and economy will in the end be detrimential to the LARP we're currently enjoying. Just use common sense, it's better than the biggest strings and variables your WoW UI will ever display.

Sad thing is that not many people have the required common sense, and we don't have a frame of how much gold is worth.
You can't really -grind-. You rather get coins for RP'ing, getting involved in business. It's pretty realistic, working for cash.

Then we get right back to the whole "Only guildies get money, it's unfair." Because ask yourself this. . . In all the time you've been here on Coth. . .How many merchants have you seen? Because I've seen like. . . . Four. And the if the guildies needed merchandise, these people would be the ones who actually had currency except guildies. Once again, it'd be unfair.
And working for cash would get in the way of RPing. "Yarr! I'm a big bad adventurer! I'm gonna go slay some dragons and charm women!. . . .But first I have to go work to raise some money for my ale. . ."
It's just too much work. Better to just drop it.

That's in fact grinding. If I want one of my characters to start very rich I most likely will, I don't see why I'd have to RP it beforehand. You're putting a strain to creativity.
People on this server do have the common sense. That's the very reason why they make it to gruntship, in fact, and survive in a highly demanding RP.
I totally disagree with putting IC money in to regulate roleplaying. Hindering it further.
This idea will just sink RP down.

It still would be hard to impliment...Considering there are only a handful of guilds. Honestly, common sense (even if people lack it here) is the easiest way.
Remember when we tried this last time? The effort putting in the npc, items and figuring how much money people got wasn't worth it in the end.

I suppose you are right, but I just thought it was a good and added more realism.
Atleast, I think that there should be made a guide on "frame of economy".

Realism isn't always the way to great RP. Actually, sometimes, realism can ruin it completely.

I am writing such a guide myself, but as for the IC currency, it's truly too much hassle.

If it worked out, it'd be awesome.
That would be very hard however, I didn't see anyone use the coins the last time they were up, not even myself.

A quite good guide that gives some explanations about the basic things.

So when Jurkey says it, it is okay...But if I say it...It is an issue?
Uh. Okay, whatever.

"Sad thing is that not many people have the required common sense" was actually what I wrote

Whatever.

Same meaning, different words. I just didn't understand why I got scolded?
