House Nailo

The House Nailo is a noble family currently ruled by Lord-Captain Nelson Nailo.

Previously an active Captain in the Silvermoon guard, Lord Nelson Nailo received a grievous injury during the Second War, ending his military career. His son, Byron, had escaped military service by taking to studying poetry at a secluded country estate. The Nailo family fortune helped.

Byron aided his father in the careful investment of the Nailo family fortune, when Lord Nelson Nailo. In the years between the Second and Third War, the Nailo family did quite well for themselves. Byron's father ran a political game to Byron's financial one. Lord Nailo, for example, attempted to create a committee overseeing export taxes in Sunsail Anchorage- even as Byron used that Anchorage almost exclusively. With Lord Nailo in charge of the committee, export taxes could be lowered, and profit margins increased.

The Third War, unfortunately, put something of a damper on House Nailo fortunes. Even as Arthas was laying waste to Silvermoon and the surrounding area, Lord Nailo used his contacts in the export business to get his family out. The tiny trade fleet, with what few Nailo treasures they had managed to take with them, stayed at sea as most Silvermoon residents fled to Draenor.

The House Nailo has done much to try and help in the rebuilding of Silvermoon- Lord Nailo out of patriotic duty, and Byron, on realizing the possibilities for exploitation.

Of late, Lord Nailo has fallen deathly ill. He is being kept to the Nailo country estate, under heavy guard. Byron permits him no visitors except direct family, running the House in the patriarch's absence.

Byron has used the illness to attempt and recreate the House Nailo image. He has attempted to unify the family and present at least the appearance of being forthright citizens of Silvermoon.

On a darker note, Byron has been, of late, keenly aware that he would rule House Nailo if something ever happened to his father.

The House Nailo is a guild for those in the Nailo family, as well as the family servants and retainers. Our RP is focused on Blood Elf nobles, politics, and othersuch hobnobbing. That said, there is likely a place for anyone, within reason.
