1, Is it possible to get a class-change (if it is a reasonable result through roleplay), and if so, how would I go about doing this?
2, Would I be able to keep my profession levels, or would I have to work to get the max'd engineering skill again (for example)?

I think that's it for the moment. I'm bound to think of more.

1. Yes, it has happened before. It varies greatly depending on what you want to change into ICly and it would take quite some training.

2. You wouldn't be able to keep your professions due to rerolling your character with the new class.
