Yeah, pretty much... that.

Also, why are there only options that say that we think we need more? Honestly, I see enough Forsaken around... more than Dwarves, really.

Anywho, bottom line is - if people feel like RPing a Forsaken, they will. If you want to /poke them a bit and remind them they have Undead, just make an event... or a thread like this, or... yeah, something like that. :D

I thought up an idea. When Kretol gets the phasing portal to work, I have an idea for a conquest event so that we can get forsaken rp back. =]

I would, but...I really just can't get into playing undead. I have seen well done and interesting undead characters, as rare as they may be (Lindri is one of them) but I can't manage it myself.

They are usually too depressing or too hateful for me to enjoy writing for. On one end of the spectrum, you have the vengeful Forsaken who hates what has been done to them and wants to take it out on everyone with a pulse. On the other, you've the kind, innocent sort who doesn't deserve any of what has happened to them, and is trapped forever in a decaying wreck of a body, forever unable to regain any semblance of joy in their facade of a life.

Additionally, things like pain, a fully functional emotional spectrum and yes, sexuality are essential to me while writing--even if the way the character expresses themselves in a certain regard is -not- expressing themselves, it is still there. "This is Bob. Bob is dead, and that makes him sad. Bob isn't attracted to girls anymore, but wishes he could be. Bob doesn't feel the breeze on his face, or pain when he burns himself, but would give anything to be able to feel those things. Bob never will, however, because he is stuck like this either forever or until the slow onslaught of brainrot eats away at him and leaves him a soulless husk."

I cannot bring myself to write this. It's not entertaining to me, it's depressing; I RP for fun and as a hobby. When something I do for fun makes me unhappy, I usually reconsider. Forsaken RP is, simply put, not my cup of tea.

Hey, Lendri, Claynt´s still up.
Well, not really now, but he´ll come back! And especially after he´ll be done with the Necromancer training. :3

^This.

I cant agree that forsaken are 'emotionless loners'. For the simple fact that death knights -are- the exact same as forsaken in the fact they are both undead. Basically the only thing really separating them is that Death Knights are undead that were controlled by the Lich King and accepted by their past societies again... and Forsaken are undead that were controlled by the Lich King and freed themselves to be exiled from their societies and continuing to exist under Lady Sylvanas' rule.

If anything the death knights should be more in the way of loners then forsaken as the forsaken have more of a city and base of operation. If a Death Knight can be role played as having emotion and STILL somehow have relationships, being a walking talking corpse and with the history the have... then -heck yes- a forsaken can.

I agree that 'prettiness' definitely comes into account as pretty characters are role played more and there are plenty of death knight Draenei, humans and blood elves around. If the forsaken were more attractive, people would play them more rather then sticking to the 'pretty' undead death knight classes.

However storyline also plays a big part. People are not going to be inclined to play an 'ugly' race when there is also a lacking of people to game with and others to show off the rich storyline basis and character types that the forsaken do and can have.

I think if you want to have more people play forsaken, all you have to do is get a small group of people together, perhaps three or four... make a guild, and host a few large events to show off your characters and spark an interest in the race.

An example of such would be something like 'Guard of the Undercity' or a house of the undead nobility... as I am sure some of the undead killed were likely nobles. You could even do the 'Royal Apothecary Society' as a group of undead who do research, exploration and study the affects of magic on the land, creatures, and populous so as to better understand their own state and to further personal endeavors.

And it would be so sweet to, because Forsaken can't physically 'make love,' so it's just a pure emotional bond, and it's just so CUUUUTEEEE

Time to rebuke some things.

Forsaken are emotionless or sad or angry!

Forsaken do not have to be any of these things. Sure, they can be angry and sad but why would they still be sad about being dead when they've been Undead and walking around for seven years? If anything, most Forsaken would have already come to terms with their state and have gained a much more casual stance on unlife. I play a Forsaken, he tends to be quite fine with his undeath, just acting as if life just goes on and does what he does, always greets people with "'ello there love" or "Good evenin' mate". Yush.

Forsaken cannot love!

Yes, yes they can. Lendri put this rather simply. They cannot physically gain any sensations from touch and thus they focus completely on the emotional side of things which is, after all, the funnest part of a relationship anyway.. Hugging and cuddling and stuff.

Forsaken are ugly!

Whilst they do rot and everything you can trick yourself to believe they look good by changing their model appearance. There is a Forsaken female face which makes them look almost like dolls and, to be completely honest, it is very adorable.

Also, as someone mentioned, Forsaken are a lot like Death Knights. This is true, the only difference is that Death Knights can be alive through one of the most iffiest explanation of lore, ever.

I have a Forsaken, but I stopped playing him because it ended up being pointless due to the lack of people who would even care to tolerate him :(
