Let's spice things up! A battle for Ashenvale!

In a recent thread I said something about starting up an event chain for the random skirmishes in Ashenvale. Well, here it is! But because I'm still in school, I wont be able to plan out events and the such with every detail. And thus, I am going to recruit you faithful reader!

What we need is an equal amount of horde and Alliance input. And possibly bring in other races of the Alliance as well! Those with an interest add my skype, Kagetheshadow.

(The post shall remain for updates from any of the people who join in. Now then, lets start a war!)

I never quite got the Horde's motivation for what are basically logging-raids. What is their reasoning that their leader-shamans wouldn't go lolno at? Or is it simply Peon-istic "need more lumber" ?

..... Well I can't seem to find much on the reason behind it, just more on why there still fighting and how.

When the warsong clan went to war in ashenvale, the thick forests and night Elve's hit and run attacks presented a major challenge to the orcs. The Night Elves had perfected a hit and run style of fighting that was highly effective in the forests, while the orcs' array of fighting styles were adapted for more open terrain, and worked poorly in the forests. While Grom Hellscream's movements into ashenvale had been successful, he had been able to attack unprepared elves, who had nearby bases that could easily be attacked and destroyed. The Night Elves quickly learned to fight these new invaders, and once again gained a fighting advantage in their own forest.
The warsong clan quickly learned that, in addition to supplying the horde with building material, cutting down trees would remove hiding places from the Night Elves. The orc blademasters also had a fighting style well adapted to the forests. Over time, the orc grunts themselves learned to move more quietly in the forest, and detect Night Elves amongst the trees. Trolls also joined the warsong, their skills at jungle hunting transferred somewhat well to fighting in ashenvale. Shamans in the forest tend to be used as scouts, for detecting if shadowmelded or other hiding night elves are nearby. Still, fighting among the trees is difficult, as the Night elf hunters can shadowmeld, any wild animal could be a shapeshifted druid, and if detected, horde fighters are just a few arrow shots away from being killed.

If you want an alternate reason.... I've got a satyr and I'm soon to have extra time on my hands. He's clever enough to stir up Horde-Alliance trouble.

That would work \o/ but I'm hearing I would have to get a GM's permission to start up war RP. Can someone confirm this?

I'd be interested in joining on both/either sides.

And I don't think you need GM permission to have people kill each other, only if you intend for something to actually change in-game.

Though don't quote me on that.

I am planning a guild about Alliance/Horde conflict in the Northern half of Kalimdor, lead by Kag'rin Sunderskull, my Blademaster. Just drop me a PM, and I'll try to give as many details as I can.

I've yet to make the guild, and it'll be a while, but it's in the making.

As a side-note, I wouldn't take the mantle of heading the full Horde/Alliance conflict alone, so any help would be welcome.
