I really like Sibyl, I'm not sure why. She's got an endearing charm about her, and there's something to like about a gnome whose rather... lower class, I guess? She's not a super scientist, or a megamage, she's just... a chimneysweep. With fire magic. I really liked having her in my little asspull Duskwood RPs.

I endeavor to give and take, so... Seda.

What's good, what's bad, and what needs work?

Feel free to give me feedback as a GM as well-- if you have anything to say regarding my shameful lack of productivity regarding builds and events, you're completely in the right and I apologize in advance.

Seda needs to meet Balgarn, I think.

I didn't get to interact much with Seda on Surthak, mostly because Surthak didn't find her that approachable. That's my fault. But I've seen her on both this and on Dalaran with Thragash. She's fairly comical in how serious she can be at times, and the complete lack of understanding of silly human emotions (or, at least how she pretends she doesn't understand.)

Regardless of how you felt about Kidnapped, I thought you did a great job with what you were given. Everyone loved Seda's logs, and it really was quite nice to read them. They were so subtle at points on how she changed, the logs getting more and more depressing as time went on. You rely a lot of subtle cues to get some things across, and I think that works wonderfully as it gives your characters nuance. The sudden shift from Seda talking robotically to suddenly using contractions and more relaxed language was something that most wouldn't have noticed, but for those that did ended up being surprisingly unsettling. In short, I love and admire your attention for detail.

I will say that Seda, however, can be difficult to really mesh with. I feel like I need the right character to really get any sort of traction with her, which is why I mentioned Balgarn. My more cheerful characters would have a hard time interacting with her because they wouldn't be able to get their enthusiasm bounced back at them. I'm not sure if this is a problem that can be fixed, or if it even should be, but it's something that I notice.

Need to RP more, you.

Seda is a pal.

She was a humorous character to have in Kidnapped, despite being humorless herself. Her monotone, direct way of speaking provided a few smiles and small laughs for me. One such example occurred during Norell's first plan, when he was trying to get others to yell about stopping a fight in a dramatic tone, and all Seda said was "Cease and desist". She's funny by being serious, so a plus to you.

Following her... not sure how to describe it, but watching her during in-game, reading her logs, and showing how she acted less like a robot each day was a nice treat. Norell enjoyed it ingame since he assumed that she was simply being more open with the group (and you know that Norell tried to consider everyone a friend). It was almost upsetting to see her get possessed by a spirit and return to her normal way of talking, but I'm sure there will be moments where she'll slip up and talk like a person because something reasons something.

tl;dr She was funny and I enjoyed her slow descent into acting like an actual human (...gnome) being.

Spoiler:
Northwind when?

I'd actually hoped to RP with Seda more during the event, but the big problem with that was her needing that helmet, and Brother Thalvin needing to see her face to communicate. Nonetheless, I felt her presence added a lot to the general atmosphere of the event, the logic to balance everyone else's emotion until she became more unhinged. And the logs were a wonderful addition that gave some perspective and narrative to what was happening. They very accurately summed up the attitude swing of the captives while still being very unique to the plight of the character.

I also don't think I ever got to tell you that I really enjoyed Sibyl and Jonoth's conversation that one time. So yeah, I love Sibyl. Give me all your Gnome RPs!

I had a better response typed and then I accidently hit back with my mousebuttons. !@%@$#!@#$.

@Grakor456 - Attention to detail is just something I love to indulge in, so I'm very pleased that it was enough to be notable!
And aye, I've noted that Seda has an issue easing into a group; her dour attitude can make it a bit hard for her to fit into a cheery bar scene, or the like. This is kinda something I want to explore as the character develops (if she develops); kinda a wearing down of her emotional barrier, or whatever it'd be called. I've a specific idea of where to take it, but how well that'll pan out and how much of an improvement that will be, iunno. Until then I'm interested in this DK party!

@Mathias - As noted above, we'll see! She's certainly got some conflict in her regarding her change of mind during the event.

Regarding Northwind II: I'm unsure. I want to run it, I have ideas for it, but I've just not had the drive to be active with creating the location again. I may begin to pursue it again now that I'm free of obligations for a month, but we'll have to see. I've also been feeling a bit unsure of my choice of event line, as I've noticed that lore-centric events really haven't been occuring as much as I feel they could; and those in comparison to my little survival horror thing are more important for the server as a whole.

Iunno. We'll see, again! I've felt incredibly bad over my inactivity these past weeks, and hopefully I can channel that into something of interest soon.

@Jonoth - Aye, I can imagine how there was a bit of a barrier there given the circumstances, but then again I imagine not much could have been made of that ICly ("Nothehelmetstayson"). The need for a translator there was a bit amusing though, I have to say!

I also enjoyed Sibyl's little chatter, and I'm going to have to play her more. Gnome RP is a go.

Thanks for the feedback!

I don't think I've encountered Seda enough to provide adequate feedback. Seda has seldom interacted with Elsamina and Kitson (beyond helping him when he was first discovered). so most of my feedback is based on what I managed to observe.

All in all, she's great. It was nice to have a gnome in the sea of all other races, and what I have seen with her has made me giggle. The most I did get from you on my end is the IC logs. I'm rather saddened I couldn't provide more for her logs on my behalf or see her characterized more than a faceless figure.

I do hope to see more of Seda soon!
