Everything is so ridiculously colorful. It's like all of the master armorers of the WoW universe were clowns, and wanted to mold the world in their image.
Seriously though, it's no surprise that these are ugly. And you all know what they will do for the next three tiers to be added in through patches, and the PvP sets...
One of these days, I'll make my own WoW raid-tier armor set. It'll just be two gigantic shoulder pads that are four times larger than the player character. And they'll glow bright neon rave colors, pulsating to the drum of a techno beat. And they'll also be on fire. With floating crystals zooming around in a spiral. With a lens flare effect. And the helmet will just be a giant sword, stretching up 18 feet tall. And the sword will also be on fire. With glowing runes and dark mist and a car driving up and down the sword with the words "EXTREME" flickering on it.
And that'll be that. Nothing else. Just giant shoulder pads and a sword-helmet. The rest of the armor will be a purple cape that says "HERO MAN LVL 3000" and invisible gear.

The female version will be rainbow tassels and a thong with the sword helmet. Pads will be null though, gotta show off those tassels.
Edit: Less coverage, by MMO laws, denotes more protection. Krent's armor would be for tanks.

... As much as I'd love to see Tier 15 looks nice and snug and mundane, the tier sets are kinda meant to (try) to look Badass or something like that... xD It's why they're meant for like... The reward for killing the end-boss of expansions and huge raids...
(This doesn't justify them making some of the sets look completely ridiculous) but still... Oh screw it, I can't really defend Blizzard's stance. It's Blizzard. They'll keep making strange sets until they can't think of how many ways a shoulderpad's main bar can bend at one time. And by that time it'll be like Tier 29.

Recolors.
Better than in LK, where all the Tier sets were dull and washed out in color!

On the plus side, I rather like the challenge mode gear.
...Erm. Well, minus the shoulders on most of them. The shoulders look kinda ridiculous on some. I especially like how they actually showed some goddom restraint on the particle effects.

I like this if only for the shoulders. Just rip those off and slap them on an orc and that'd look -awesome-. ... Ironically for this list the shoulders are about all I like though. :B

I kinda get what they were going for here, but the multicolor eyes are a bit weird. And the shoulders are huge. I honestly don't know how half of the characters in Warcraft can clear a doorframe.
Eh, the only ones I like are the the Shaman and Monk ones, as everyone else said the other ones look pretty generic. . .and bright. Really, Really bright. It seems whenever Blizzard releases a new tier of gear it has to be as flamboyant and "epic" as possible >_<, I miss when it was simple.
