The Earthworks
#31
Two new events added - one for Jwam'be, a loose sequel to the cult classic 'Bad Vibrations', obviously designed to milk the IP for all it's worth, and another in which Renji must get as many orcs drunk as responsibly possible. The Earthworks is truly downhill from here, folks.

The Earthworks' first proper storyline has been completed with its last event - the mystery of a Blademaster, solved by the work of Surthak and Torok! I'll likely write it up and put it in the storylines thread in time.

On a similar note, I've finally separated the past events from the main post. About time.

As of today, the Earthworks is officially closed for business. This thread will remain as an archive, but otherwise the guild will be disbanded ICly and OOCly. A big thanks to those who joined the guild, and all I can hope is that it was fun!

Guess which grumpy old elder is looking for fresh blood? PM me, send an in-game mail or bump into Zeth'ugram ICly in order to join what may just be the least combat-capable group of Hordies this side of Kalimdor!

Until I clean this thread up I'll be updating directly here, rather than in the OP. So, with that, two new initial tasks!

'Cleaning house'
@"CappnRob"
'I've been gone a long time, Madugo. The hall is hardly in a state of disrepair, but it'll need to be tidied up and the stock will have to be checked. Also... A band of children has taken up in it while we've been away. I'm sure you're fine to deal with some kids.'
'Getting to know you'
@"KomodoTheCashew"
'Spirited as this kodo may be, it'll end up biting one of our heads off or running down a cliff. I want you to ... I don't know, calm it with a potion and try to get into its head.''

The new roster is pretty small for now - it's just Zeth, Takoda, Madugo, Krinag and Torok. Will also be properly amended when I can get my head around the OP.

Three new characters have been added! The Burning Blade Blademaster (that's a mouthful) Ro'gosh, played by Krilari, Paylonas' Blackrock Blacksmith (not again!) Urr and Scout's adorable troll shaman Iskul'aka.

I hope for even more hordies in the near future!

The Earthworks' first lecture (gosh, about time) will be occurring in just under half an hour! Ro'gosh, our resident Blademaster, will be dispensing knowledge of his art - and dispensing with a poor training dummy, no doubt. Come along - all races of the Horde are welcome at this little function!

It's starting now!

The first lecture of the Earthworks was a success, if low-key! Ro'gosh lectured about his beliefs towards the Horde and its strengths, then demonstrated that strength with a dazzling display of blademastery!

Log here for archiving purposes!

Spoiler:
17:32:59 [Rogosh]: I'm prepared... However I'm unsure if the crowd is. Looking a bit paltry tonight.
17:33:26 [Ugram]: The fewer there are, the more focus you can put on them.
17:33:42 [Chesie]: I am prepared. I am unsure if I can say the same to the other orc here.
17:33:42 [Ugram]: We're an adaptive people. Make do.
17:33:48 Chesie glances sidelong to Kaghuros.
17:34:13 Ugram frowns at Chesie for a moment. He clears his throat, though, relinquishing the floor to Ro'gosh and shutting his pie-hole.
17:35:43 Ugram | Orcling says: I wanna see him cut a human's head off!
17:35:45 [Kaghuros]: You lookin' at me? Course I'm ready.
17:36:00 Ugram | Mother says: Shh.
17:36:23 [Chesie]: Very well. Forgive my prior perception.
17:36:32 Ugram | The mother smacks the boy on the head firmly. He whines quietly.
17:37:40 Rogosh nods once, firm, before his eyes drift to the crowd. "Take your rest if it suits you. The ground here does not burn." He paces aside, taking a more central location beside the dummy composed of crates and a single melon. "Tell me." His blade his held out-
17:38:18 Rogosh | by an arm's length, sweeping over the crowd. "What is it to be a part of our Horde?"
17:38:22 Ugram can't help but crack a bit of a smile. Just a little one.
17:38:51 Chesie remains silent. She obviously can't answer this.
17:38:55 Ugram | Orcling says: You gotta be tough! Tough as rock!
17:39:12 [Chesie]: As swift as a coursing river, as well…?
17:39:41 Ugram | Orcling says: Yeah!
17:40:09 [Kaghuros]: I live by every ounce of strength I have over my enemies.
17:41:01 Ugram | The little orcling, lanky but obviously a decade young to be going into any kind of battle, would whoop at Kaghuros' answer before being smacked again, piping down.
17:42:08 Rogosh rumbles with laughter. "Yes! If you stand amongst the Horde then you are strong! Strong of body, strong of will! But what is there to revere beyond mere strength? Or should we let ourselves be judged merely on martial prowess?"
17:42:40 Ugram | Orcling says: [Low] Uhh...
17:43:34 [Chesie]: Wisdom.
17:44:09 Ugram watches silently. He seems to be taking it all in pretty thoroughly, at least.
17:44:31 Kaghuros nodded. "Yeah, you've gotta be clever."
17:46:38 [Rogosh]: Wisdom, yes! We are not led blindly, but it is the wisdom of our elders and our shaman that guide us through the jaws of demons and doom all alike. To be Horde we are forged of the toughtest stone! Guided by the wisest wind! And it is the bonds of Honor -
17:48:07 [Rogosh]: that hold this Horde together where all others who dare falsely claim our name have fallen! No Fel Horde has stood against our might when they fered even the daggers of their own.
17:48:39 Ugram nods firmly.
17:48:52 [Urr]: Aka'Magosh.
17:48:56 Ugram | Orcling says: Yeah!
17:50:02 Kaghuros cheers!
17:50:25 Chesie would give a few nods.
17:50:28 Rogosh pauses for a brief breath. In that moment his eyes fall upon the newest face, greeting him with a nod. "It is honor I come to speak of, my kin, as it is what defines my existance- and the existance of all those who -rightfully- claim the Blademaster's -
17:51:36 Rogosh | title. By honor we are bound to our Horde, not of men of Warsong or Thunderlord or Frostwolf, no. The age of clans has passed to men like me. To us there is naught but the Horde, strong and proud, and upon it's peak stands none other than the Warchief-
17:52:34 Ugram seems to particularly enjoy the second half of his words, sucking in a breath and seeming to vicariously enjoy the show.
17:52:45 Rogosh | himself. Doomhammer at one point... Thrall... Now Garrosh of the Warsong dons the sacred mantle. It is by -honor- we are bound. Every Blademaster bows to his warchief, as we are not men, but the very first of the Horde itself!"
17:53:41 Ugram | The Orcling cheers loudly! No amount of smacks to the top of his head will stop his enthusiasm, it seems.
17:53:53 Ugram | That doesn't stop his mother from trying anyway.
17:54:10 Ugram | Orcling says: Owwwhhh!
17:54:48 Urr blinks lightly, bringing closed fist to rub each one of his eyes as he looks Ro'gosh over and gave an apathetic look, if anything he was judging, silently judging forever. The blackrock backed away from the performance and made way into Zeth's home.
17:56:20 Chesie however, pays close attention to Ro'gosh.
17:56:20 Rogosh dons a wolfish grin of his own once the children rile up. "Through the Warchief we are given breath. By his order we march to war. Our life and death stand as a testament to the Warchief's glory, and thusly the glory of our Horde... The rites by which -
17:57:24 Rogosh | one claims the title is not for me to speak. That is for another day, perhaps when you younglings grow still." He focuses upon the children for a moment. "Even a Blademaster has the wisdom to listen to his mother... Now. I can not tell you of how, but-
17:57:49 Rogosh | perhaps you all would enjoy a demonstration of the Horde's might?"
17:57:52 Ugram | The children are focusing on him, too!
17:58:13 Ugram would nod slightly, though not in a conspicuous way that'd imply Ro'gosh needed his approval.
17:58:52 [Chesie]: Do demonstrate, Blademaster.
17:59:43 Urr returns with a stool in hands, dropping it to the ground and then pushing it lightly into the dirt with foot. Urr's attention was now primarily on Rogosh, though occasionally broke to scan the crowd and anyone who's riled up.
17:59:47 [Kaghuros]: Show me your moves, Blademaster. You've got us itching to know.
18:00:15 Ugram | Orcling says: YEAH!
18:00:22 Ugram | Orcling says: --- Ow!
18:00:42 Rogosh pays a quick glance to the ground. He marches a few steps closer to the crowd, stopping short as he sees himself in place. Ro'gosh hoists his pitch-stained blade into the sky with one hand. A breath. His second hand grips on the hilt and in that split -
18:01:02 Ugram | Even Zeth tenses up to see this!
18:01:57 Rogosh | second he brings the blade down. The head of the blade catches on a well-placed stone. The skim of steel and stone sends a spark down the line of pitch. Ro'gosh brings the blade back about to show the pure-white flames rippling along the edge of his -
18:02:00 Rogosh | weapon.
18:03:03 Chesie feels extremely tense viewing this. And she isn't exactly fazed very easily. "[Low] Curious…"
18:03:13 Ugram | The children shout and cheer at this - a couple of them scream with their high-pitched orcling voices. At least this time they aren't chastised. One of them jumps up and down!
18:03:17 [Ugram]: ... Ha.
18:03:46 Ugram blinks a couple of times, his eyes honing in on the flame and seemingly trying to figure out all he can about it through that alone.
18:04:49 Rogosh holds the blade aloft for a few seconds, letting the youths get their fill of gasps before he continues. Slowly once more he shifts, taking a relaxed stanced with his blade outstretched in both hands. A sudden gale of wind flashes across the makeshift -
18:06:48 Rogosh | stage and in that instance he disappears only to reappear once again. His flaming blade drives down, cracking the bottom most crate into nothing but rubble. Before the rest of the dummy could fall apart he disappears and re-appears now on the other -
18:08:07 Rogosh | flank. Once again his flaming blade strikes, cracking the second crate from the bottom. Likewise he disappears again. A third time he forms, this time behind. His blade hangs high in the air before crashing down on the melon-headed dummy. The moment -
18:08:25 Ugram blinks with each rapid movement. The elder is not equipped to follow this kind of thing!
18:08:39 Ugram | Orcling yells: WOAH!
18:08:54 Rogosh | the blade's pale flames connect the heaping mass of wreckage errupts into flames, small shapnel of burning melon splattering across the scene.
18:09:18 Ugram | Orc Child yells: WUUUAAHH!
18:09:59 Chesie is unable to keep up. Whatsoever. The Tauren blinks rapidly.
18:10:55 Ugram doesn't dodge a chunk of melon that hits him in the arm, he just wipes it off after the fact. He's still staring at the mess with equal parts approvement and curiosity.
18:11:06 Kaghuros looked on with an eyebrow raised curiously.
18:11:15 Urr squinted his eyes in content, scratching underneathe his chin with a sluggish grin as the blademaster gave performance.
18:11:21 Ugram | Lil' Orc says: Did you see that?!
18:11:42 Ugram | Orcling says: Waaaooww!
18:12:21 Rogosh looms over the wreckage, one foot placed upon the 'corpse' of his enemy. The blademaster hoists his weapon up high- now the entirety of it wrapped in pure-white flame. "LOK'TAR OGAR!" He bellows, loud and proud. "You have my thanks, true members of the-
18:12:54 Ugram | One of the mothers sucks in a sharp breath, but seems relieved that none of her two children blow up. She'd smile after the melon-shrapnel is clearly passed.
18:12:57 Rogosh | Horde, for coming and listening to me this night." His foot presses down, snapping a few pieces of charred lumber so that he can stand upright only to bow before the crowd.
18:13:10 Kaghuros claps excitedly.
18:13:11 You clap excitedly.
18:13:12 Rogosh bows down graciously.
18:13:16 Urr claps excitedly.
18:13:19 [Ugram]: You've outdone yourself, Ro'gosh.
18:13:21 Chesie claps excitedly.
18:13:31 Ugram | Orcling says: That was AMAZING!!!
18:13:49 [Kaghuros]: Well swung, Blademaster! You've got a real talent.
18:13:54 Ugram | Lil' Orc says: Do you do that to the humans?!
18:14:14 Ugram | Mother says: [Low] Be more respectful, Gruk.
18:14:25 Ugram | Lil' Orc says: Sorry!
18:15:00 Ugram picks himself to his feet, though he doesn't move from the spot. He probably just felt the performance was worthy of him being upright.
18:15:02 Rogosh draws on a snort of laughter. "To humans, yes. To whomeever dares stand in our way of life. Humans, traitors, whatever it may be..." His words draw off as his head inclines again to Kaghuros.
18:15:04 [Chesie]: Indeed. I don't believe I've ever seen a Blademaster in action before. Well done.
18:15:56 [Ugram]: It's been a long time.
18:16:55 Rogosh waves his burning blade once or twice through the air before he sheathes it, the pale flames quelled to nothing. "You honor me with your complements, friends, elder."
18:17:28 [Ugram]: Simple recognition.
18:18:08 Ugram | One of the orclings looks like he's gonna run up to the blademaster and pester him, but the mother grabs him by his pony-tail just in time.
18:18:36 Urr remained seated, the smile on his face fading to the apathetic look once more, seeming rather unimpressed once more.
18:19:07 Rogosh slips his gaze aside to the youth. "He can speak. I have no issue." He says to the mother.
18:19:57 Ugram | She would nod deeply and with great respect, loosing the munchkin to commit all kinds of atrocities unto Ro'gosh. He runs up, now foolishly unshackled from authority, and chirps "Can I hold it?!"
18:20:47 Kaghuros laughs.
18:21:16 Rogosh once more dons his grin as he crouches down to meet the youth face-to-face. "This blade is not for you, little pup... There are a few words of Wisdom I have for you." His own paw of a hand reaches up, clapping the orcling on his shoulder. "To take a -
18:21:18 Ugram peers at the boy. "Gruk..." He'd start, then defers to Ro'gosh.
18:22:07 Rogosh | Blademaster's weapon is to welcome death itself... Besides. I'm certain you will find much more pleasure holding your own blade one day."
18:23:00 Ugram | Lil' Orc says: ... I will! I'll laugh at death!
18:23:09 Ugram raises an eyebrow, slightly amused.
18:23:16 [Urr]: Death isn't something to be laughed at, little one.
18:24:00 [Ugram]: ... Yes. It isn't.
18:24:27 Rogosh pushes himself back up to his hunched height. "Do not mock death or you will be met with it quickly." He looks aside, nodding to Urr. "However do not fear dead, lest for your life will have no more value than had you died young."
18:24:47 Ugram | Lil' Orc says: Oh. Well... I'll ---... I won't fear it!
18:25:19 [Rogosh]: Respect it, young pup, as you do all things.
18:25:26 Urr cracked another smile, standing up from the stool with a groan. "I am getting old..." He nodded, speaking not to anyone in particular.
18:25:35 Ugram | Lil' Orc says: Yeah!
18:25:57 [Rogosh]: Now off with your mother. The hour grows late and young warriors need their rest.
18:26:00 Ugram | With the understandable attention span of a boy, he'd spin around, almost slip on the dust, then run back to his mother, who shakes her head and starts leading him away.
18:26:24 Ugram | Mother says: ... It's good of you to do this, by the way.
18:26:34 Ugram | Soon, all the orclings are being sent to bed.
18:26:39 [Ugram]: ... Hah.
18:26:45 [Urr]: It's our duty to do this, it's good of -you- to bring the children along.
18:27:12 [Ugram]: They'll probably have nightmares, though...
18:27:15 Rogosh snorts. "The thanks is better placed on the Elder or I would be naught but another recluse." He nods to Zeth'ugram.
18:27:33 [Ugram]: Ha. No. That's no importance.
18:28:07 [Kaghuros]: So, recluse. What would make you teach the blade?
18:29:05 Ugram peers at Urr, now that Kaghuros has taken Ro'gosh's attention.
18:29:15 Ugram | And then at Chesie. He nods at her respectfully as well.
18:29:22 Chesie nods back.
18:30:17 [Rogosh]: Nothing more than you already know 'lest you can prove to me your devotion both to the Horde and to yourself.
18:30:19 A sly smirk spreads across Rogosh's face.
18:33:01 [Ugram]: So. Where are you staying? Save for the two of you I know.
18:33:08 [Ugram]: Night -has- fallen, after all.
18:33:12 [Chesie]: The local inn, elder.
18:33:44 [Urr]: I do not know who you ask, but whever I find myself tired is where I lay.
18:33:50 Urr nods at you.
18:34:07 [Ugram]: Here, or in the center of the city?
18:34:31 Kaghuros worked his jaw slowly. "And what'd you be asking for, Blademaster? Plenty of us gave ours up north for nothing, I'm not so pos'tive what the Horde stands for to you."
18:35:05 [Chesie]: The center.
18:35:27 [Rogosh]: If their lives were for nothing then Orgrimmar would be overrun with Scourge by now. Their every sacrifice, even the one most ultimate, has value to our Horde.
18:35:50 [Ugram]: The inns in those valleys are far more raucous than here.
18:35:55 Ugram states it simply.
18:37:59 Kaghuros slapped his upper arm where he had his tattoos. Emblazoned on it was the crest of the Warsong expedition with eight service-marks for eight months of war. "So they told me. What sacrifice do you ask?"
18:38:01 [Chesie]: What are you implying, Elder?
18:38:39 [Ugram]: It is late, but the families here would be glad to house you. A foundry here owes us a favor, too, if you want a warm place to stay.
18:38:52 [Ugram]: ... Extends to the younger warrior here, too.
18:39:07 [Rogosh]: No sacrifice, only for me to know that my time would not be wasted tutoring you.
18:40:05 [Chesie]: Mmh…I see, then. I suppose I'll take my rest at the foundry you speak of, Elder.
18:40:34 [Ugram]: It's still glowing, so you should have no trouble finding it.
18:40:44 [Ugram]: I will retire, as well.
18:41:03 Kaghuros nodded slowly. "Given you enough of the gristle. I'm Kaghuros, son of Rocktusk. I fight to survive, but if you'll show me where I can do good in this war I won't let you down."
18:41:37 Urr gave a nod, picking up the stool and returning it to its place indoors, then the Blackrock came out to make way to the tree he just woke up from.
18:42:23 [Chesie]: I suppose I shall retire, then. Good night, Elder.
18:43:58 Kaghuros tapped two fingers to his heart and nodded to Zeth. "Go well."
18:45:58 Ugram nods.
18:46:03 Ugram would go into his home, as well!

The first mission since the return of the guild has been completed! Madugo was mean to some children! The Earthworks hall is reclaimed and being cleaned! Everything went fine!

Elephant logs for archiving purposes.

Spoiler:
15:25:51 Ugram | One of them shouts something enthusiastically in Orcish. Unfortunately, it's a high-pitched voice and a shouting kid, so it isn't exactly discernable.
15:26:31 Ugram | The two spear-boys poke-poke his ankles, now, trying a new tactic, while the one wrapped around him tries swinging around back and forth to throw him off-balance.
15:50:28 Madugo does indeed lose balance... while the kid is still on him, Madugo still struggling to get him off! He starts rolling down the stairs painfully. "OW! OOH! AGH! OW!"
15:51:44 Ugram | The two spear-wieldings hop out of the way as they are victorious, then would charge down the stairs. One of them loses his balance and topples over a meter further than Madugo, but the other points his spear at him from above. The one that was on ...
15:52:55 Ugram | ... his back, with the tenacity and toughness unique to little kids, would scramble out from under him and, after getting over being dazed, looms over him. The other spear-fellow picks itself up, too. He's surrounded!
15:53:41 Madugo groooooooooooans. "Oooogghh.... whatchu chillans's tryin' ta do, kill me?!"
15:54:49 Ugram | One of them snaps. "DON'CHA MOVE, FIEND!"
15:55:11 Ugram | Now that he's not being pushed around and poked, he can probably make them out if he looks around.
15:55:46 Madugo does so! "I tain't no fiend, boyo!"
15:56:38 Ugram | The first, that had tackled him, is an orc boy, surely barely into his teens. Stringy and built like a gnarled tree, and wearing little but a loincloth, which exposes all the healed cuts and bruises across his chest.
15:58:00 Ugram | The second seems to be a girl. Heavily built, her biceps match those around her, and she wears a snarling visage like it were second-nature. She's wearing a drooped cloak made of boar-hide which conceals her body and head, but exposes her arms.
15:59:00 Ugram | Finally, there's a smaller child - he looks similar to the first, but about two inches shorter. He looks like the one who tumbled down the stairs, and similarly just wears a loincloth. He seems far less beat up than the taller boy.
15:59:19 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: Yeah?! PROVE IT!
15:59:43 Ugram | Short Orcling says: [Shrill] PROOOOOVE IT!
16:00:00 Madugo shakes his head and sits upright with a grunt. "Well, first all, fiends are demons, and I be a troll. Chu know, de closest friends o' da Orcs?"
16:02:36 Ugram | The girl would poke him in the neck with her spear - now identifiable as a whittled stick - as he sits up, but wouldn't make a massive effort to stop him.
16:03:03 [Madugo]: Will chu stop pokin' me! Poke poke poke, is dat all chu do?
16:03:19 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: 'Cus only a FIEND would come mess with the Ghret'kt Warband!
16:03:51 Ugram | Short Orcling says: Yeah! S'YOU!
16:05:21 [Madugo]: Yeh? O'mebe I be a mighteh warlord, come ta see if chu might Warband be fit 'nuff ta serve de Horde! An 'stead chu little mons attack me! Dat be bad form fer a warband, chu know, ta go inta battle on impulse.
16:05:22 Madugo nods.
16:06:11 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: Warlords don't sneak around like fiends!
16:06:24 [Madugo]: I wasn't sneakin' 'round.
16:06:35 Ugram | Short Orcling says: WERE, TOO!
16:06:50 Ugram | The short one pokes him once more.
16:07:04 [Madugo]: Chu were da ones who be sneakin' 'round. Like a buncha Laughin' Skulls!
16:08:48 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: Was an ambush! For FIENDS like YOU!
16:08:58 Ugram | He spits at the ground. No manners!
16:09:02 [Madugo]: An ambush inside a fort?
16:09:06 [Madugo]: Chu own fort?
16:09:12 Madugo stares incredulously.
16:09:32 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: ... Yeah! YEAH! You making fun of us?!
16:09:47 Ugram | He would kick at him. Not really aimed, kinda just at his chest.
16:10:07 [Madugo]: Dis be poo' form! Lookit dis mess 'ere! I'mma hafta report dis to de Warchief.
16:10:10 Madugo nods.
16:10:21 Ugram | He is just a kid, but if it connects his foot would be like a wood board. They obviously spend a lot of time outside.
16:10:51 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: Y'can't do that! I'm the warchief!
16:11:01 Ugram | Short Orcling says: YEAH, HE IS.
16:11:22 Madugo peeeeers. "Chu dun look like Hellscream."
16:12:21 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: Shut up!
16:12:30 Ugram | He kicks again. No restraint with the kicking.
16:13:08 [Madugo]: Ow! Hey! Stoppat!
16:13:29 [Madugo]: Dis be disrespect ta ya fella Horde. Anotha report fer da Warchief!
16:14:28 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: Fiend makes no sense!
16:15:00 Ugram | Short Orcling says: YEAH! Go back to the forest!
16:15:56 [Madugo]: I'm from de jungle, not da forest. Dat be de Amani trolls, mons.
16:16:46 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: I don't care! Fiends are all the same!
16:18:40 [Madugo]: Aye aye aye!
16:18:42 Madugo covers his face with his palm.
16:19:40 Ugram | They are silent, mostly just menacingly standing over him. The girl is the most silent of them all, but peeking inside her coarse cloak reveals the same intimidating snarl!
16:19:59 Madugo stands up. "Well if I'mma fiend den mebe I jus' eat chu souls right now fo de Burnin' Legion!"
16:21:26 Ugram | They're frenzied again! They poke him rapidly with their little spears all over, while the other tries to kick him again.
16:21:51 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: RAAAAUGH!
16:22:33 Madugo uses his superior adult size to... pick the smaller child up, bracing himself against the kick. "Urggghh!! Ragghhh!"
16:23:43 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: WAUH! GETTOFF ME!
16:24:25 Ugram | At least the short one seems worried now that things have apparently shifted into the monster's favor, and he deals with said worry by poking him twice as fast as he was before.
16:25:01 Madugo makes to take the stick and break it with his hand. "Stoppat!"
16:26:14 Ugram | It doesn't break, but he can easily grab it and wrest it from the kid, him being the shortest of the group and the scrawniest. It helps that he'd let go the moment he grabbed it, anyway.
16:26:51 Madugo scowls at the kid, then places him down. He makes to take the other sticks next! "Gimmie dose!"
16:27:17 Ugram | The girl, in comparison, seems unfettered, and she'd attack him with a similar technique to a fledgling hunter. She goes for his feet, his neck, and other places where it'd be uncomfortable to be poked. As he grabbed for it, she'd yank the spear...
16:27:28 Ugram | ...back, snarling hoarsely.
16:28:02 Madugo winces at the pokes, and uses both hands to grip the stick, trying to yank it away!
16:28:04 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: GET 'IM, IREK!
16:29:10 Ugram | She holds on like a mollusc, but he manages to drag it closer to him. She braces her feet against the stone floor, her snarl fluctuating greatly as she starts to lose the battle. Put down, the stringier orc retreats a couple of steps.
16:29:37 Ugram | Short Orcling says: GEEET HIM!
16:29:45 Madugo pulls the stick into the air, holding the girl suspended if he must! "Leeeeet goooo!!"
16:33:23 Ugram | The girl is no whelp, at least judging by the fact that she isn't lifted. Her arms shake and the hood falls off of her as she tries to yank the spear back with one shoulder at a time. Her face is unremarkable, but her expression is violent.
16:34:01 [Madugo]: Jeez! Chu so persistent!!
16:34:15 Ugram | Of course, she makes no headway in her favor, but she seems happy just to stop him from making any progress.
16:34:21 [Madugo]: All I wanna do is clean up de hall! Gyaaah!
16:36:07 Ugram | The other two are just watching now. The short one has backed by the wall, but the other is a little closer. Not enough that he's at risk in case the troll really is a fiend, though.
16:38:02 Madugo can't believe the strength of such a pint sized punk! He tries grabbing her stick tightly with both hands, bending it to try and break it in half to end this stalemate. "GRRRRR!!!"
16:39:13 Ugram | The stick snaps finally, and she's cast onto her butt a meter and a half back. She scrambles to her feet, spreading her legs as if she were intending to charge him in a few seconds, teeth bared.
16:40:14 [Madugo]: Bah! Wassa madda witchu all, eh?? Try an' play long witcha an' chu jus' act like punks! Geh!
16:40:19 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: H-HEY! Don'try anything!
16:40:25 Madugo tosses the broken stick ends away behind him.
16:41:15 Ugram | He steps up, baring his tusks - unimpressive as they are - at the troll. He tries to stand a little taller, but, well, that's not gonna do anything this year.
16:41:46 Madugo stands up taller too, just for emphasis. Damn hunch.
16:43:47 Ugram | Stringy-orc does not remotely stack up to the troll, but he gulps and shouts at him with just the littlest hint of a wavering voice. "Get outta here 'fore we actually try!"
16:45:49 [Madugo]: Look 'ere chillens, dis be da hall fer da EARTHWORKS, ya dig? We work mighty hard ta build it from de ground up, chu can't jus' come innae and trash de place!
16:46:52 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: We're the Ghret'kt! Nobody's here but us! GO AWAY!
16:47:05 Ugram | Short Orcling says: Y-YEAH!
16:49:15 [Madugo]: If chu behaves an' cooperate 'bout dis den mebe I ask de bossmon if chu can hang 'round 'ere still, an' I even bring me own chillren's 'round ta play wit' cha, but I tired of dis pokin' an' yellin'!
16:50:26 Ugram | Stringy Orcling says: YEAH, WELL, WE DON'T WANT ANYBODY HERE!
16:50:40 Ugram | His voice rises, becoming a little shrill as he becomes more enthused.
16:53:01 Madugo grumbles and growls, having lost all his patience at last. He inhales deeply and raises his voice, "DIS T'AIN'T CHU HOME, GET OUTTA IT AN' GO BACK TO YA MAMAS AN' PAPAS!"
16:56:10 Ugram | The short one would skitter backwards, behind the girl - who was still maintaining her fight-ready stance, even now. The boy somehow manages to weather the fury of an adult troll, standing there. He shakes a little...
16:57:35 Ugram | ... , his eyes projecting a little mix of shakenness, anger and, of course, some fear. He balls his fists, his upper lip quivering furiously, then would turn and start walking with stiffened gait.
16:58:04 Madugo folds his arms and frowns frustratedly.
16:58:14 Ugram | Short Orcling says: A-aren't we gonna get him...?
16:59:32 [Madugo]: ...
16:59:47 Ugram | The little'un follows him with his gaze, unsure, and the ringleader shakes his head, still walking. "We're going!" He'd say, voice shaking a little. Finally, the girl takes a few steps back, then would follow them, pacing out quickly.
17:01:06 Ugram | The other two exit the doorway and seem to continue down the path, as far as Madugo can see, but the tallest of them stops on the precipice for a little moment and shouts "WE'LL GET YOU!" with an uneven timbre.
17:01:28 [Madugo]: Oiiiiiiiiiiii.
17:01:35 Ugram | ... And then runs to follow the others.
17:01:48 Madugo rubs his face in frustration, taking a moment to calm himself. Guess its back to looking for the broom.
17:02:59 Ugram | A minute or two passes before the elder appears on Madugo's doorstep, pacing in calmly. His footsteps echo on the stone floor!
17:03:15 Madugo is broom searching!
17:03:42 [Ugram]: I saw them going - good. Any idea how you're going to clean this?
17:04:23 [Madugo]: Witha lotta paitence an' hopefully a broom if I can find one.
17:04:40 Ugram | He'd inevitably come across a broom tucked between two crates, somewhere ridiculous and obviously not used in months.
17:05:06 [Ugram]: Should have no problem with patience.
17:05:20 [Madugo]: Come wit bein' old, ya? Haaa... ha.
17:05:29 Madugo 's spirit is rather diminished now.
17:06:19 [Ugram]: ... Ha.
17:06:40 Ugram seems to sense it. He's got some perception with these things, after all. His response is tentative in its brevity.
17:07:19 [Ugram]: ... Every valley has them. There's a point where you do what you can, but can't let it drag you down.
17:07:28 [Madugo]: Ah, dere's de broom. Doncha worry, Zethmon, I get dis place cleaned up. Chu can go back to ya home if ya want-
17:07:28 Ugram turns, peering out the door.
17:07:47 [Madugo]: ... dey jus' dunno how ta handle dey aggression. Ehh....
17:08:40 [Ugram]: Feral children. I don't like that phrase. Still...
17:09:30 Ugram looks up, as if thinking. As if to prove it, after a moment he utters. "I think they're the only children to use that word in the damned entirety of Orgrimmar, though. Phah."
17:09:56 [Madugo]: Which word?
17:11:21 [Ugram]: What they call themselves. First time I heard it was ... I forget. Years ago, though. Old Bleeding Hollow rune. No idea how they learned it, but it means 'self-sufficient.' But in a specific context... I really have no idea where they learned it.
17:11:56 Madugo raises his brow curiously. "Context? What context chu mean?"
17:13:59 [Ugram]: It's from an old story. A group of children and their mothers left after all the men die in a clash with ... Was it the Shattered Hand? I think it was unspecified. The specific self-sufficiency that they developed then was coined Ghret'kt.
17:14:19 [Madugo]: ... Mmm. Interestin'.
17:14:48 Ugram nods. "Well, we've a lot to clean."
17:15:39 [Ugram]: I'll bring the others around. Shouldn't take long.
17:15:52 Madugo looks at the mess. "Mmmkay. I get a had start den."
17:16:22 [Ugram]: ... Mm. Feel free to return, if you want. I want to see how Ro'gosh went with Gruk.
17:16:41 [Ugram]: That child has a dangerously exciteable nature...
17:16:55 [Madugo]: Dat's mos' chillens, Mon!
17:16:59 [Madugo]: Hehe.... ehhh.
17:17:01 [Ugram]: ... Ha.

Also, a thanks to Cerb, Kril and Dejar (I'm sorry, I didn't get your forum name!) for coming along and RPing too.

Takoda's started his diabolical plan to defeat the kodo overlord - and I finally got around to adding him to the guild OOCly.

Also, we had a fun cross-culture RP thanks to sorum and sarghress' BElves!

Another of our original members has returned to the fold; welcome back Harnod!

A slew of new missions have been added, as well!

'Our powers combined?'
@"Osvaldas" @"Paylonas"
'Urr - Harnod came around yesterday. I want both of you to pool your abilities - decide as you will, but make something worth both of your talents. I can provide materials up to a point.'
'Blood feud'
@"Scout"
'A troll came, shouting his head off about a long-running spat with another troll. I believe they're both shamans; at least, as much as I could get out of his gesticulating and infuriated speech. He wants a mediator to calm things down between them and create some breathing room, I understand. You're perfect for this, I feel, Iskul'aka.''

Also, a very successful Horde RP in Orgrimmar in general today. Two duels, two deaders, a goblin, a tauren stuck in a tree, a taunka... Sheesh!

You could say, Tauren nailed a tree.

Komodo has finished the first part of his task! The kodo has been drugged. We're good people, I swear.

On top of that, a figure has returned! Could it be... Surthak?
