Two new events added - one for Jwam'be, a loose sequel to the cult classic 'Bad Vibrations', obviously designed to milk the IP for all it's worth, and another in which Renji must get as many orcs drunk as responsibly possible. The Earthworks is truly downhill from here, folks.
The Earthworks' first proper storyline has been completed with its last event - the mystery of a Blademaster, solved by the work of Surthak and Torok! I'll likely write it up and put it in the storylines thread in time.
On a similar note, I've finally separated the past events from the main post. About time.
As of today, the Earthworks is officially closed for business. This thread will remain as an archive, but otherwise the guild will be disbanded ICly and OOCly. A big thanks to those who joined the guild, and all I can hope is that it was fun!

The new roster is pretty small for now - it's just Zeth, Takoda, Madugo, Krinag and Torok. Will also be properly amended when I can get my head around the OP.
Three new characters have been added! The Burning Blade Blademaster (that's a mouthful) Ro'gosh, played by Krilari, Paylonas' Blackrock Blacksmith (not again!) Urr and Scout's adorable troll shaman Iskul'aka.

He marches a few steps closer to the crowd, stopping short as he sees himself in place. Ro'gosh hoists his pitch-stained blade into the sky with one hand. A breath. His second hand grips on the hilt and in that split - 18:01:02Ugram | Even Zeth tenses up to see this! 18:01:57Rogosh | second he brings the blade down. The head of the blade catches on a well-placed stone. The skim of steel and stone sends a spark down the line of pitch. Ro'gosh brings the blade back about to show the pure-white flames rippling along the edge of his - 18:02:00Rogosh | weapon. 18:03:03Chesie feels extremely tense viewing this. And she isn't exactly fazed very easily. "[Low] Curious…" 18:03:13Ugram | The children shout and cheer at this - a couple of them scream with their high-pitched orcling voices. At least this time they aren't chastised. One of them jumps up and down! 18:03:17 [Ugram]: ... Ha. 18:03:46Ugram blinks a couple of times, his eyes honing in on the flame and seemingly trying to figure out all he can about it through that alone. 18:04:49Rogosh holds the blade aloft for a few seconds, letting the youths get their fill of gasps before he continues. Slowly once more he shifts, taking a relaxed stanced with his blade outstretched in both hands. A sudden gale of wind flashes across the makeshift - 18:06:48Rogosh | stage and in that instance he disappears only to reappear once again. His flaming blade drives down, cracking the bottom most crate into nothing but rubble. Before the rest of the dummy could fall apart he disappears and re-appears now on the other - 18:08:07Rogosh | flank. Once again his flaming blade strikes, cracking the second crate from the bottom. Likewise he disappears again. A third time he forms, this time behind. His blade hangs high in the air before crashing down on the melon-headed dummy. The moment - 18:08:25Ugram blinks with each rapid movement. The elder is not equipped to follow this kind of thing! 18:08:39Ugram | Orcling yells: WOAH! 18:08:54Rogosh | the blade's pale flames connect the heaping mass of wreckage errupts into flames, small shapnel of burning melon splattering across the scene. 18:09:18Ugram | Orc Child yells: WUUUAAHH! 18:09:59Chesie is unable to keep up. Whatsoever. The Tauren blinks rapidly. 18:10:55Ugram doesn't dodge a chunk of melon that hits him in the arm, he just wipes it off after the fact. He's still staring at the mess with equal parts approvement and curiosity. 18:11:06Kaghuros looked on with an eyebrow raised curiously. 18:11:15Urr squinted his eyes in content, scratching underneathe his chin with a sluggish grin as the blademaster gave performance. 18:11:21Ugram | Lil' Orc says: Did you see that?! 18:11:42Ugram | Orcling says: Waaaooww! 18:12:21Rogosh looms over the wreckage, one foot placed upon the 'corpse' of his enemy. The blademaster hoists his weapon up high- now the entirety of it wrapped in pure-white flame. "LOK'TAR OGAR!" He bellows, loud and proud. "You have my thanks, true members of the- 18:12:54Ugram | One of the mothers sucks in a sharp breath, but seems relieved that none of her two children blow up. She'd smile after the melon-shrapnel is clearly passed. 18:12:57Rogosh | Horde, for coming and listening to me this night." His foot presses down, snapping a few pieces of charred lumber so that he can stand upright only to bow before the crowd. 18:13:10 Kaghuros claps excitedly. 18:13:11 You clap excitedly. 18:13:12 Rogosh bows down graciously. 18:13:16 Urr claps excitedly. 18:13:19 [Ugram]: You've outdone yourself, Ro'gosh. 18:13:21 Chesie claps excitedly. 18:13:31Ugram | Orcling says: That was AMAZING!!! 18:13:49 [Kaghuros]: Well swung, Blademaster! Well done. 18:15:56 [Ugram]: It's been a long time. 18:16:55Rogosh waves his burning blade once or twice through the air before he sheathes it, the pale flames quelled to nothing. "You honor me with your complements, friends, elder." 18:17:28 [Ugram]: Simple recognition. 18:18:08Ugram | One of the orclings looks like he's gonna run up to the blademaster and pester him, but the mother grabs him by his pony-tail just in time. 18:18:36Urr remained seated, the smile on his face fading to the apathetic look once more, seeming rather unimpressed once more. 18:19:07Rogosh slips his gaze aside to the youth. "He can speak. I have no issue." He says to the mother. 18:19:57Ugram | She would nod deeply and with great respect, loosing the munchkin to commit all kinds of atrocities unto Ro'gosh. He runs up, now foolishly unshackled from authority, and chirps "Can I hold it?!" 18:20:47 Kaghuros laughs. 18:21:16Rogosh once more dons his grin as he crouches down to meet the youth face-to-face. "This blade is not for you, little pup... There are a few words of Wisdom I have for you." His own paw of a hand reaches up, clapping the orcling on his shoulder. "And what'd you be asking for, Blademaster? Their every sacrifice, even the one most ultimate, has value to our Horde. 18:35:50 [Ugram]: The inns in those valleys are far more raucous than here. 18:35:55Ugram states it simply. 18:37:59Kaghuros slapped his upper arm where he had his tattoos. Emblazoned on it was the crest of the Warsong expedition with eight service-marks for eight months of war. "So they told me. What sacrifice do you ask?" 18:38:01 [Chesie]: What are you implying, Elder? 18:38:39 [Ugram]: It is late, but the families here would be glad to house you. A foundry here owes us a favor, too, if you want a warm place to stay. 18:38:52 [Ugram]: ... Extends to the younger warrior here, too. 18:39:07 [Rogosh]: No sacrifice, only for me to know that my time would not be wasted tutoring you. 18:40:05 [Chesie]: Mmh…I see, then. I suppose I'll take my rest at the foundry you speak of, Elder. 18:40:34 [Ugram]: It's still glowing, so you should have no trouble finding it. 18:40:44 [Ugram]: I will retire, as well. 18:41:03Kaghuros nodded slowly. "Given you enough of the gristle. I'm Kaghuros, son of Rocktusk. I fight to survive, but if you'll show me where I can do good in this war I won't let you down." 18:41:37Urr gave a nod, picking up the stool and returning it to its place indoors, then the Blackrock came out to make way to the tree he just woke up from. 18:42:23 [Chesie]: I suppose I shall retire, then. The first mission since the return of the guild has been completed! Madugo was mean to some children! The Earthworks hall is reclaimed and being cleaned! Everything went fine!

Unfortunately, it's a high-pitched voice and a shouting kid, so it isn't exactly discernable. 15:26:31Ugram | The two spear-boys poke-poke his ankles, now, trying a new tactic, while the one wrapped around him tries swinging around back and forth to throw him off-balance. 15:50:28Madugo does indeed lose balance... while the kid is still on him, Madugo still struggling to get him off! One of them loses his balance and topples over a meter further than Madugo, but the other points his spear at him from above. Heavily built, her biceps match those around her, and she wears a snarling visage like it were second-nature.
