First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
To start, I formerly RPed here and there's not much to tell. My character was formerly a blood elf hunter, but through his story like it was revealed he was a member of Alliance Air-forces as introduced by Wrath of the Lich King, but back during Burning Crusade the idea appealed to me when I researched the engineering aspects of the game and how they could relate to martial roles. The answer was clear, and as cliche' as it is.... I made a High Elf.
Im attempting to make a return to CotH as I enjoyed it in 2009 and would like to make an effort at supplying the community with a unique character that is lore compatible while interacting with the other characters already present.
In my sparetime Im prone to making digital art and it isnt uncommon for it to be in art created in Character by my characters.
I'm also an avid fan of animals.... AKA I have too many. Probably why I enjoy the Hunter Class above all others.
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I am from America and I speak english (more or less) as my first language.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
I first got into it through the Warcraft RPG book and Warcraft 2 Real Time Strategy.
How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
I found it browsing private realms and the RP element drew me in. That was back in 2009 and Ive not forgotten CotH and its special conditions that promoted Roleplay over grinding and raiding.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
All sorts, I'm an equal opportunity roleplayer. I'm touched by the scifi aspect of WoW and prefer roleplay that involves the interdimensional adventures of Outland and some of the grim environments of WotlK. So my idea of roleplay would be scouting the defenses of a stronghold to pass on to an invasion force. Or travelling into Outland the hard-way, on a goblin rocketship. Not the conventional over-played methods I'd dare say.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Blood Elf and Hunter. The Blood elf Ive wanted to play since it was released, the design of the human and other races did not appeal to me and the other classes are not my taste really. The priest, rogue, and warrior are also fine classes but I'm a Hunter player through and through, I enjoy shooting things and I enjoy having a pet... I get lonely.
What are your expectations of this server?:
Better roleplay than I was finding on even the most populated RP Realms of retail.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Humility. Not everyone needs to be the star, and supporting roles are just fine. I would think the Humility rule goes both ways and obligates players to trade the spotlight so no one feels left out or pushed out of focus entirely.
Did you know that we have a Mentor Program? It's entirely voluntary and you as a new player can sign up for it right now in your introduction! Are you interested in signing up to be assigned a Mentor? If so, say so here (Please enter at least "Yes" or "No"):
Yes I Would like participate in mentoring.
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Mist never fails to trouble a man when it suffocates the night and coats everything in a foreign layer of moisture. Little morethan the cling of the uniform to your neck and the accumulation of dew on the face, sponged up by one's rough unshaven face compounds the torture until a man can go mad in the field. Days of marching in this very mess, jungle so dense a nightelf would call it salad, and we've alll gone well beyond our limits of sanity. Foot after foot, puddle after puddle... death... after death. The loss of life interwoven with the hushed barking of the liutenant, too brave and too young and like all the rest... dead in time. This is the life we'e chosen that's brought us to the Hell of a jungle... aptly, anyone who'd come here would call it by the same name had they not known it before, The Swamp of Sorrows.
I;ve beaten one hundred days, few last ten. I am a man living on borrowed time every night I'm pulled from the mud to face shrieking horrors that bare axes and tusks when they ambush us. Where they come from few of us can see so we try to burn the jungle and everything it hides. The jungle burnt and so too did the toxins of every plant that took its toll on the sappers that lit the swamps and released, the gas. Our presence here is a 'strategic victory' to the Lord commander but already we dwindle to a fifth of our prime forces, and something else has engaged us on our borders... something with wings and a residue of corrosive acid that rusts even the finest dwarven mithril, men completely washed away in a stew of putridity that disturbs me to define with my charcoal. Like the tens of nights that have come before,
we will leave the fortress and make our sortie. We will kill a few but they will keep coming, and we will retreat and good men will die. There is no end to this conflict but thank Stormwind for the swift-end of the axe.
Scout Sergeant - Loken Ridgefire. Alliance front-lines of The Swamp of Sorrows.
Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I have no idea! When I first enjoyed CotH it was still very new. I am excited to get a look at what has changed while recapping on realm-lore through the forum. Im mostly anxious to get back to doing portraits for characters that I have scenes with.
