Song of the Banshee (Forsaken guild)
#1
"Our goal... Our sole purpose was to destroy the Lich King. We threw our lot in with the Horde and began our journey towards redemption. Now the Lich King is dead and we have returned. The people who called this land their home in life, do so in death as well. But the Alliance does not recognize our rights. They claim this land as their own while attempting to invalidate the claims of the founders of this kingdom. I will never allow it... Never! Lordaeron belongs to the Forsaken - always and forever."
-Sylvanas Windrunner

With our hold on Lordaeron bolstered by the resurgence of fresh bodies in the wake of the hated Lich King's disposal, with our power at it's peak, the time to strike out in the name of the Dark Lady has come! As our forces in Silverpine, the Plaguelands, and elsewhere mobilize to bring the Banshee Queen's justice to the renegade and the recidivist, it falls to each and every brother and sister of the Forsaken to take up arms in Her name. Will you answer the Call? Will you hearken to the song?

~ Song of the Banshee ~

Song of the Banshee is a small group of like-minded Forsaken and their close allies. Though officially unrecognized by the government and military of Lordaeron, The Song's primary goal is to make their mark upon the world by lending their aid to fellow Forsaken in whatever endeavors they undertake. In addition, The Song highly values the research of the Royal Apothecary Society, and attempts to help it along by setting up research facilities far from the watchful eyes of their Horde "allies".

Forsaken from all walks of life are welcome within the Song, be they great warriors or simple tradesmen. Non-Forsaken, such as death knights or sin'dorei, may also find a place within our ranks, so long as they have sworn their allegiance to the Banshee Queen and posses unwavering loyalty to the new nation of Lordaeron.

Ranks

Because the Song is a volunteer organization, no single member holds any sway over any other. Each agent of the Song is free to obey or disobey whoever they choose, as well as turn down any assignments they deem unworthy of their attention. Positions within the Song, therefore, are determined by one's own merits and skills. As of now, members are divided into four different sub-groups;

Organizer - The unofficial head of the organization, charged with directing the Song in it's various endeavors. Currently held by Royal Apothecary Janice Grier.

Reaver - Warriors and assassins. The blades and brawn that drive our forces to victory.

Weaver - Sorcerers and scientists. The great minds that contribute to our scientific advancement and magical superiority over the living.

Attendant - Agents who possess skills unrelated to combat and research. Traders, artists, cooks. Anyone with a talent that can benefit the citizens of Lordaeron.

Headquarters

The Song is currently stationed at the Lonesome Crow inn, south of the Balnir Farmstead in Tirisfal Glades.

Current Storyline

Rumors have been coming in from Vengeance Landing in Northred telling of a slight increase in Scourge activity in the Howling Fjord. Though these rumors are currently beneath the attention of higher ranking Forsaken officials, the Song has made plans to travel to Northrend soon to investigate.

OOC

The Song's primary goal is to bolster RP of the Forsaken variety, both as an individual race as well as in relation to other races and factions. Though we will mainly focus on long-term storylines involving a handful of people, our intention is to take advantage of the tumultuous state of Lordaeron in the lore to create conflict with players of the opposite, or even the same, faction. We welcome any and all attempts to RP with us, and will be seeking collaborators for future RP events involving cross-faction conflict.

I can't say I have a ton of free time but as a fan of Forsaken rp I'd love to get my Lightslayer Becca involved whenever possible.

A new notice has been posted to the command boards in the Undercity, Brill, Deathknell and the Bulwark.

A recent spike in Scarlet Crusade activity has prompted the Deathguard to increase patrols across Tirisfal as well as bolster our existing guard stations. In the past week, Crusaders have raided several outlying settlements and have ambushed civilians and caravans traveling from Deathknell to Brill, as well as from the Undercity to Andorhal. Fortunately, the damage and casualties have been minimal, though constant vigilance is highly advised. Currently, the cause of these renewed hostilities is unknown, though the Deathguard are working tirelessly to quash this dissidence before it gets out of hand. All citizens are to exercise caution while traveling through the Tirisfal Glades.

Dark Lady watch over you.
