Forsaken Flying Mounts.

Forsaken fly bats, but there is no bat flyer in-game. I suppose they could have gotten a dragonhawk from the Blood Elves, but I don't know if that's in the DB either.

Well, when you fly on a bat from a flight path, it says you're mounted. Is it in no way possible to get this model and make an item of it, or am I thinking too logical?

Not for us, no. We don't have the resources to make something like that here.

Move him into the sun—
Gently its touch awoke him once,
At home, whispering of fields half-sown.
Always it woke him, even in France,
Until this morning and this snow.
If anything might rouse him now
The kind old sun will know.

Think how it wakes the seeds,—
Woke, once, the clays of a cold star.
Are limbs, so dear-achieved, are sides,
Full-nerved—still warm—too hard to stir?
Was it for this the clay grew tall?
—O what made fatuous sunbeams toil
To break earth’s sleep at all?

I prefer gryphons, but there are quite a few unusual flying mounts suitable for Forsaken. Tailors should consider the flying carpet... Or you know, you just could do without an IC flying mount. Not everyone's character can actually get one, and all of mine but one don't have one.

I might be able to make a bat flying mount.

If it's any help, this video claims to teach you how to do it.

Making mounts should be easy. Just take an already defined flying mount (like a gryphon or something), copy of it, find the model of the creature you want to fly, and change the model ID number. That's how it used to work for me, it's probably about the same technique for you. You might have to adjust how the character 'sits' on the mount a bit though.

(Psst, flying the Sunwell... ftw)
