Really? That's lovely. I won't have to live through the Forever Alone syndrome I had in WoW back in the days.
I didn't have a chance to play much this weekend, but I had a lot of fun with a warrior just mixing and matching weapons on the fly.

I did a little in the Sylvari starter area, but, based on what I saw of it, I think the Charr starter zone is still my favorite.

And I was on Tarnished Coast. No real server preference, so wherever everyone else ends up I'll just float on over.
So, question to you future GW2 players.

For the guild that we'll be making for CotHers, would you rather have an OOC guild mostly for the purposes of letting us keep in contact, or would you like an IC guild?

At the moment, I think it's possible to convince Xigo to either merge his warband with the main guild or to make it separate, either could work. Unity would help to keep a cohesive guild and to encourage communication. On the other hand, splitting may be better for organization ICly. Either way. If we do a merge and keep the guild IC, we might be able to draft up a story with my main Norn and Xigo's Slayer leader making a band to fight the dragons and their servants. Could be fun.
I'm pretty fine with a merge.

Eeep, me and Saph are going to be playing Guild Wars 2 too! Though, we are planning to play on the unofficial EU rp server, Piken Square, since we already have got a guild lined up with a few of our friends. :) Everyone are of course welcome to join us! :3

I'm definitely going to main a sylvari mesmer (or guardian) Rhienna, just not sure which class, and then a human thief, Illyriel Moore. Oh dat sweet pistol and dagger..
Then the warband and the CotH-guild group thingy shall be merged.

Should people be allowed to bring friends?
I'm sorry to bulge in, but after deep consideration, I've decided to buy Guild Wars 2, myself. But I do have a question: will every expansion need to be bought? And if so, how often will they be released?
When they release expansions, yes, you will need to buy them. As there's no subscription fee, that seems a safe assumption. No idea how often they'll be released. Depends on the game's success.
I doubt that you'll have to buy the expansion packs, but it will probably be like WoW's expansions. New areas, new content, higher level cap, perhaps a new race and/or class.
We bought expansions for GW1! But, I dunno. We'll have to see, since I bet they'll add new races in each expansion along with one-two classes like WoW does. Or maybe they won't. /shrug

I'm quite fine for a merge, though I haven't found out if the guild system is still account wide or character based. Otherwise there may be a few strange characters of mine that'll be in the guild. xD

I think the expansions will take some time to come, since it would be intimidating when most people are still half-way through everything and only a few people really did everything. That's my two cents!
Human Elementist and Charr Protecter (or something like that)
Charr Guardian, Stealthscout :P

Also, if the list is not up to date.
