After managing to snuck in at the last few hours of the last beta weekened, I decided that I will buy the game - it's awesome! Due to my location, I'll be playing at the EU servers. As for characters, I tried and loved the Engineer class, I felt a natural at playing it, heh, so I'll roll one for sure - probably a Charr, like in the Beta. I'm also tempted to play a Warrior, but I didn't get a lot of time to try it (and plenty of other professions). I also want to play a Norn no matter what.
It is possible ( At least it was during the beta ) To select and play on either Region (America / EU) just in case people thought it was predetermined. So we can all still hang out together!

So happy about this. Do we need to make new characters for this, like with Diablo 3, or can we move those we've already made freely?
We can guest with the already created characters!
Your only limitation (To my knowledge) would be, not being able to fight for that world in PvP.
Been meaning to ask this. With less than a week remaining before the head-start, we ought to put some thought into the guild itself.
Kretol has graciously offered to arrange for a forum for the GW2 guild, so what we need to do now is think of a name for it. I'm wanting to keep the name IC, since I would love to RP on GW2.
Since Xigo was planning on making the "Slayer" warband, and my main Norn who will be running it is Ulfarr Nighthowl, I'd thought of something along the lines of "Nightslayer Band" or something. Which may sound lame to everyone else. Any ideas, so far?

I'm fine with Nightslayer Band and we should start working on lore for background, start making character profiles... That stuff! I'm guessing we're taking after Destiny's Edge? (Fate's Hammer? xD)

Might shorten it to just "Nightslayers", thinking about it. Either works, I'll have to ponder it.
Once Kretol gets a forum set up, we may even have our own (optional) character profile template etc. etc. Should be good fun!

Periodically update your clients already, in the end the final download will be much smaller or almost none due to the final size would be 25gb according to the box!
25 gigs? Holy crap, I won't be able to play it until two or three days after launch...

I'll be getting GW2, but mainly to be able to play with a distant friend. My main will, most likely, be on a non-RP server, but I'd be happy to roll an alt for this guild if you would accept me and I have the time (what with school, unlikely.)
