Welcome!
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

Due to several circumstances both in and out of my control, I've decided to step down fully and completely. This really won't change too much, as for the past few months I have not been all that active anyway aside from some forum management. I'll still be around from time to time to check up, but you no longer have to fear me locking your topics or growling at you when you step over the line.

I give the Heroes and GMs here my warmest regards--I will be keeping in touch. Drop me a PM if you'd like to have my contact information.

To the Grunts, Peons, and Visitors, I ask that every now and then you step back and realize what a unique place this is, and how much effort has gone into it, just for you. I wish you epic storylines and wonderful new friendships with other RPers.

Respect, all.

  Northrend Exploitation
Posted by: Harmonic - 02-26-2009, 03:24 PM - Forum: Community News - No Replies

Well, apparently people have been taking advantage of mobs in Northrend, one shotting mobs with one hp, then farming the gold and making a lot of money. Now, you guys -know- that exploiting bugs is against the rules, but apparently, it didn't stop people from taking advantage of this anyhow, and not telling anyone about it till today.

Northrend is off limits. You guys lost that privlage for the moment, until we can fix the errors. If you are there, we will port you right back out, and boot you, and if we see you farming gold and taking advantage of the mobs, we will ban you.

You all should know better, c'mon.

  Introduction Stickies
Posted by: Qaza - 02-22-2009, 04:38 PM - Forum: Community News - No Replies

There was a slight whoops in the Introductions section of the forum that caused a couple of very important stickies to go missing. They are back in their rightful place now!

If you are new to the server or are thinking about joining, MAKE SURE YOU READ THEM!

Server coming down momentarily for computer maintenance, OS updates and a revision update.
Estimated downtime is a half hour or so, but I'll post a reply once it's back up.

  Introductions!
Posted by: Harmonic - 02-17-2009, 05:59 AM - Forum: Community News - Replies (4)

ATTENTION CoTH!

We have decided to open up account creation to the visitor rank. The reasons we did this are actually quite logical. First and foremost, we are not operating at peak performance. So when someone goes through the process of writing an introduction, then they have to wait however long to get approved, they come here, and see that we do not offer the things that they probably have heard about from us. This is something that we know really frustrates people.

Another reason is that we GMs have a really hard time making time to go through all the introductions, approve them, then change over the usergroups, and all the other steps that go along with that. It's -really- easy to get behind on those, and for that, we apologize.

The final reason is something that we know for a fact. People come back when they are denied, and make another introduction anyhow. This is not news to us, as it's pretty simple to find out things like this. So really, the system has not been keeping people out as we had hoped. The people who we are talking about, know who they are, and so do we. Don't worry, you can stay, but you really didn't get away with anything.

So, again, the account creation option is available to Visitors. Hopefully, this will let people see our server and test it out, without having to jump through hoops and discover this isn't what they want. Enjoy!

Kretol will update this when it's actually in effect. Thanks for your patience!
