Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

Levels and Death Knights |

Alright. Here's the deal.
Levels - These are now available. If you are a Grunt with an approved character profile, you may contact one of the appropriate GMs can ask to be risen to level 80. Note that this is all we will do at this time. Gold, tokens, etc. will be given out once the server updates are more stable, and what we'll probably do later down the line is make one-shot quests for level 80 characters so they can get all this crap automatically. So, for now, it's just the level, but it's better than nothing.
Death Knights - Officially opening these up to Grunts now. However, there are a few limitations. First, the server still imposes the level 55 rule. Due to our own leveling rules, that means you'll need to be a Grunt with another character already approved. Also, due to our leveling rules, you cannot level the DK you make past level 55 (the starting level) until you have an approved profile for that character. All DK profiles are automatically considered "Special" profiles, so post them in the appropriate section.
If you have a question, post below.

Policy Change on Approvals/Vouches and Levels |

I have changed the stickies on the intro forum to reflect the current change. From the previous policy, the changes are thus:
1. Instead of being capped at 40, a character without an approved profile can now reach level 50 and not be character banned.
2. However, 50 is now the real limit, even if you have a profile approved. In order to advance past this, you need your vouches and need to be in the Grunt group.
The reasons for this are pretty simple. With the level cap raise, I decided it best to allow people to go a little higher, hopefully letting them reach other areas to RP in if they so wish. However, I'm putting a hard cap at 50 until you are a Grunt. Why? The reason is that level 55 is when someone can make a Death Knight.
The up-side is this: after talking it over, we will probably be making Death Knights available to Grunts. Stay tuned on that. I still want to verify a couple things with Kretol and ensure that they're working alright as far as creation goes (because the class itself isn't causing crashes, but the starting zone is.)

This SHOULD work now. I set permissions for Grunts and Heroes to be able to post in the forum. Let me know if you still can't.
