Welcome!
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

  Connection Issues
Posted by: Kretol - 02-05-2009, 08:30 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (9)

For those that aren't already aware, as of early this morning the server has been offline. At some point during the morning, my cable modem lost connection and still has not regained any connection despite several restarts and whatnot. When I got home from work I'll try some other fiddling around, but a technician for my ISP will be coming over tomorrow morning to see what the problem may be.

I'll post any further updates as I become aware of them! Thank goodness for wireless connection cards for laptops. ;)

Edit: Server's back up. Huzzah!

  They´re special too!
Posted by: Nostra - 01-26-2009, 11:27 AM - Forum: Community News - No Replies

We classed Death Knights as special characters, open only to Grunts and above and as such they should also follow the Special Profile process, to make sure we all know it I´ll quickly explain it here.

- First of, Do NOT create the character.

- Write a profile for the character, make sure to think this through carefully.

- PM a GM and ask if you are alowed to make such and such character, they may request to see the profile before giving an answer. Then they may OK it or deny.

- If OK´ed you may post the profile in the Special Profiles section.

- Do not create the character yet.

- If the profile is approved in the Special Section you can create the character and start playing.

Make sure to follow this as if we see a special character played before being approved it will be denied. Feel free to ask any questions here!

  Concerning the Death Bug
Posted by: Grakor456 - 01-20-2009, 07:26 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (20)

Alright. So there is a Death Bug that is preventing people from reviving once they die, unless done so by a GM.

I'm going to spell this out for people.

Don't die.

We're not here to babysit you.

If you continue to put yourself in a position where death is possible, and you die, we will not revive you. You know there is a bug. You continue to ignore it and put more work on US, which is not fair by any stretch of the imagination. So, if you do something stupid and get yourself killed, you better be prepared for that character to remain a ghost until it gets resolved in the code.

That is all.

  This is not news.

We have had several complaints about profiles being deleted, or problems with people reposting their profile after it has gone missing.

Please remember that there is little else that frustrates us as much as people not bothering to read the FAQs, especially when it is recommended to them over and over and over.

I will now show you exactly where you need to go to understand why your profile is no longer where it was.

Here is a FAQ section JUST FOR PROFILES! It's been there for a while.

Here is the Character Profiles section on the wiki. It has also been there for quite a while.

And here are the FAQs in general.

This is not news, guys, it's been there for a long time, nice and public and clearly labeled for those who care to look. Stop sending GMs angry or upset PMs about this, or re-posting profiles.
