Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

Intermittent Power Outtages |

So far, the power has gone out twice now within the span of about an hour or so. I'm not sure what's going on, but I'll be heading off to work in about a half-hour. Therefore, Grak will be in charge of getting the server running again should the power go out again while I'm away.
If you get disconnected and can't reconnect, try sending Grak an IM on a chat program, or a PM. I'll try to get him to post a reply here stating he's started the server up again as well, should it come to it.

So I got my new case and whatnot to house my new processor to update my main computer. The current processor and tower that I've been using for my main computer will henceforth be my server computer. Therefore, sometime this evening I'll likely be bringing down the server computer to move stuff over. Not sure exactly when this will happen, but I'll edit the subject with a time and post a reply in advance to warn everyone of server downage.
Stay tuned!

Some GMs Stepping Down |

So that people stop wondering or are aware, Rensin and MrWeasel are currently off the staff. The former will not be on the server either for an unknown period of time. Out of respect for their wishes, I will not disclose why they have stepped down.
This will hopefully not bog things down too much on our end.

Empty Account Purge |

As of a few minutes ago, all empty server accounts (accounts with no characters) were purged from the database, which ended up being about 35 accounts.
If you recently made a server account and hadn't had a chance to log in and/or create a character, you'll need to recreate your account.

Reminder on Filing Complaints |

This is a friendly reminder that if you have a problem with another player, you need to tell a GM, rather than attempting to post a public thread or complain about it in other channels. In particular, I am the GM in charge of punishments and disciplinary action, you can speak to me.
In addition, if you wish to make a complaint against a GM, I am also the person to speak to. People seem to have this irrational fear of me, but so long as you are polite and do not incessantly argue when you get an answer you don't like, we'll be fine.
Send me a PM if you can't catch me in-game.
You have options. You have people you can speak to. Yet, no one seems to want to do so, and that is really only punishing themselves.
