Welcome!
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

  Training price reductions
Posted by: Kretol - 08-19-2008, 03:22 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (3)

Yar!
This is just to let everyone know that the cost of training skills/spells was reduced by 50%. For those that are curious exactly how I determined that, anything that required a level but did not require a skill (like Alchemy, as an example) was halved. This -should- have caught all class training, and perhaps some other things as well that I can't quite think of at the moment, but we'll see!

  Addition to the GM Staff
Posted by: Qaza - 08-17-2008, 05:56 AM - Forum: Community News - Replies (15)

A few people have already noticed, but I've finally caught enough of a breather in an unexpectedly crazy weekend to say something officially. Due to my harder courses finally being over, my health improving, and a general drop in stress level, I have returned to my GM position.

I'll mainly be working on world development, but I do have the ability to level approved characters, fill tickets, and enforce rules. I'm still re-learning some of the commands, so any patience you can spare would be appreciated!

  Extra Site Addresses

I just recently registered two more domain names, since I was bored and also figured they could help get more like-minded people here.

Henceforth, the domains http://www.warcraftroleplay.com and http://www.warcraftroleplayserver.com will both lead you here. Yay!

  Mounts and Riding Training
Posted by: Kretol - 08-11-2008, 03:42 AM - Forum: Community News - No Replies

As of the last server restart earlier this morning, mounts and the first level of riding training have had their level requirement removed.
Be sure to purge your cache!

As a side note, most tabards have had their faction requirement lowered a bit.

  Titles Revisited
Posted by: Grakor456 - 08-11-2008, 03:15 AM - Forum: Community News - Replies (2)

Three times we've gotten ready to release the title system, and each time we've been stopped by over-whelming work, the exit of certain GMs, or other such frustrations. We have, I believe, one person working on a title ICly at the moment that wasn't affected by Fawee's and Kendei's departure.

I believe, in the end, that the system we have in place is too ambitious and too difficult to get off the ground. After debating with myself about it for a while, I believe we'll be removing the system as it is.

I'll probably put something in it's place, because I do believe that some characters could and should be able to be flat-out more powerful than others given enough IC work and dedication. However, any new system/idea I put forth will be significantly less formal and probably less structured and ambitious.

I'm just throwing this out there for right now. The idea was a good one, but we simply don't have the resources to put forth into making it work, and we likely never will.
