Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

Edit: April Fool, for those referencing this in the future!
Alright, so as of the past few months, my attention has been diverted from server activities as I've been focusing on classwork and... well, normal work. During whatever free time I've had, I've been playing on retail (oh noes!). As a result, work on the Cata server has been rather subpar, and interest just hasn't really been there. Judging from inactivity of other folks, I'd also wager a guess that interest has also declined elsewhere, potentially until Cata hits. I know that Grak has also been hit by this, and his free time has been consumed by other games on Steam.
Because of this, both of us will be taking a bit of a break. I've decided to promote Reigen and Caravan as a temporary co-admin team, as I do believe the work would be a bit too stressful for one person; I know I'd have keeled over from it if Grak hadn't been around. I believe the two of them are probably the most active current GMs, and they'll hopefully take the server in a good direction! I also trust they'll manage to expedite our move to Cataclysm , and will be giving them both developer access to the code for the server.
Grak and I will probably still be around, but activity will likely be rather sparse.
Lok'Tar!

Look back to your Westfall.
Look back to me.
Look back to Sentinel Hill.
Look back to m-
This is your Sentinel Hill on Patchaclysm.
What have I done, you may be asking? Well, I've asserted dominance and pushed forward a whole new wave of building convinced Kretol to allow the lovely custom patch to permeate out into the server as a whole!
What?
Why are you looking at me like that?
...Oh. No, it's not Cataclysm. The current ETA on that still hasn't really come up (and I'm not really going to try and guess). But in the meantime we've decided to expand on the world a bit and use the custom patch to the fullest extent we can, what with it being woefully incompatible with any of the cata cores thus far.
Basically we'll be adding objects formerly unspawnable about in different areas, and editing older spawns to have correct coloring (for instance, the homes in Elwynn will soon have blue roofs. Revolutionary, ain't it?).
So what does this mean for you?
Go to the link above and get the patch installed! Its a small file and it's a quick matter to get into your game. Otherwise you'll be seeing weirdness if people are in invisible buildings and stuff, and that'd be no good.
So... yep. Let's have some fun with this!
Thanks to Reigen for formatting and picture goodness!
