Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

Server computer restarting to apply some OS updates. I'm also going to put the server in debug mode so that I can hopefully work towards tracking what keeps causing those sporadic crashes. Estimated downtime is 3-5 minutes!

The GMs Are Now One |

United we stand!
After some deliberation, we decided that splitting the GMs between "Enforcer" and "Content" roles wasn't particularly working, and rarely did their duties keep them to one or the other. We've therefore merged the two GM groups into one, more generic "GM" group. You'll now notice a distinct lack of blue.

OOC Zone - Back to Shatterspear |

So I've been considering changing the OOC area again, and have finally decided to switch to Shatterspear. We've made a full circle!
Some may ask why bother if we want to encourage folks out of the OOC area and into the world for RP. I personally think that it may be more beneficial to have a more pleasant ambiance when OOC (since folks are going to be there regardless of where it is if they just want to idle). While I'm not studying psychology or anything, I believe it's probably better in a subconscious way as well.
Another comment some may recall is that it was switched from Shatterspear in preparation for Cataclysm - well, whenever we may end up switching to Cata, we'll have to respawn an OOC area anyway. That, and I was just itching for a change of scenery.
Anyway, the new OOC area is Shatterspear again! Almost everything in the OOCC has been phased out, and a portal has been placed in the center of the zone to Shatterspear. Note that you can set your new bind point to Shatterspear by visiting Eyonix again!
As another note, port destinations to all the goblin cities have been added to the Portal to avoid having to respawn the transpolyporters (as well as a port to the Argent Tournament). You can also find ports to Area 52 and K2 on there as well (thank you, HolyNexus, for suggesting that)!
Lastly... prepare for ToT v3 Soon™.

So two purples dropped, but I can't equip either of them 'cause I'm the wrong class. Anyone want a Flammos or a Muhaha?
Also, Clovis left the GM time a while back. He's back now.
I know a few of you really wanted to be on the FH team. We only have so much room and the GMs have to carefully choose from the options available. Maybe next time!

Later this evening, I'll be installing the new video card that just arrived today in the server computer. That way, I'll actually be able to use the computer without it lagging so long with every action I take on it.
I'll reply here when I'm about to bring the server down later tonight, and the estimated downtime will be about 5-10 minutes.
