Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

In lands far off, the skies were defined not by the sun’s blazing rays, but the choking smoke the spewed from molten mountaintops. Amongst the blazing hell, a single shadow would come to dominate all, the span of his wings and the bellows of his roar never to be challenged. Hardened by the unforgivable lands, Spiky would arise with few that could match his might. However he flew not for leisure or practice. He knew an evil was arising.
His flight was long and arduous, riddled with fool-hearted adventurers seeking his head, yet none would arise victorious. With claws stained black he would perch himself upon the hold of an old ally, a fierce commander who had always led his men to victory. A man whose zeal was so great that not even death would give him rest, Sol needed no words. As his men scattered in panic, the weathered commander gave his lover a departing word before setting upon the dragon’s back.
Sailing over the chilling winds of the harsh world, the two would find themselves giving pause in the midst of a snow-ridden tundra. With a fire spared by Spiky’s breath, the two settled to rest beneath the starry sky, however sleep would not come so easily. Through the wilds a fierce beast stalked, her mane thick with shards of razorice, her claws shaped out of glaciers, slowly Reigen mapped out her next meal. With a chilling roar and a lightning-fast pounce, the great conflict would begin. From Dusk to dawn the three battled on, however a final blow was dealt to the frosty saber by the commander’s blade. Weathered and weakened, she did not secede to death, but instead joined the two in their travels.
Once more atop the dragon’s great spine, the three sought out the final member to their team, the final piece to their great puzzle. Caravan, the most interesting gnome in the world. By Sol’s last words she had set through the world’s great jungles, searching for the strongest beasts to mount upon her wall. With pistol in one hand and a bottle of gin in the other, the woman stalked along the underbrush with masterful stealth. Yet not even she could escape Reigen’s hunter instincts. From the dragon’s top her chilling eyes caught sight of the venturous gnome and soon enough she would find herself riding atop the flying behemoth.
With the four finally gathered, they turned their eyes to the peak of the world. Atop the high mountain sat the fortress of none other than Kretol, whose fury was so great that it would bring the world strife and cause the earth itself to shake at the very core. The four went on, meeting the master in his own domain. Without a word spoken they battled on. Days passed in their conflict, forming a month of unrelenting combat. However in the end of it all, the four heroes would come to pass their trials. The darkened clouds open up, raining sunshine upon the four as Grakor’s voice bellowed honors from the world’s peak.
“All Hail our four Heros!
Reigen, the Cunning
Caravan, the Kind
Sol, the Brave
And Spiky, the Ferocious!”

Custom Gameobject Patch |

So, after going so long without any patches for extra content, I've finally caved. After testing out a custom gameobject patch (Credits go to Dark_Spyro_003 and Razmataz) briefly on the Test server with Rigley, I've decided that support for it is needed! The extra GObjects available opens doors for even more customization, which will be extremely nice.
First, some information. To see any of these added gameobjects, you will need to download a patch from one of the following locations:
patch-D.mpq - CotH
patch-D.mpq - Mirror
Place the patch in your Data folder, which you can find right in your WoW directory. You'll know you're in the right folder if you see other MPQ files such as common.MPQ, expansion.MPQ, lichking.MPQ, patch.MPQ, and so on.

That's all you need to do in order to see the additional gameobjects! Rigley has already been outfitting Northwind with the additional objects, so you'll need this patch in order to participate henceforth. Furthermore, we'll likely be creating an additional category on the teleporter for RP locations where the patch will be required (I don't currently have plans to retrofit existing locations with these objects, as I want the patch to be largely optional Depending on the popularity of current RP locations, I may approve retrofitting locations that don't see use with these new objects to try and generate interest in them).

First off, I wish to apologize for the delay on the FH choices. I was so busy with school and it seemed to have slipped the collective minds of the entire staff for a while.
The good news? Four trial GMs, so we have four new FHs. Please congratulate Rowgen, Mathias, Ozewse, and Wuvvums on their FH positions.
...I think we're running out of purple paint.
