Welcome!
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

  1/21 2:22p - Database Migration

Once more, the server will be coming down shortly in order to migrate the databases to the new server to test it out. Estimated downtime is about an hour.

  For real this time?

One of these days it'll be stable! I... hope...

Weeeellll, I've been running the dedicated server all last night to test its stability, and it's actually still running! Therefore, at some point today I'll once more be bringing down the server to transfer over current databases. The process should take about an hour.

I should also note that once I'm certain the new server won't just die on me again, I'll be using my home server (the game-host one) as a test server. It's likely I'm going to start testing a couple other Core solutions (other than ArcEmu, that is) and see how stable they are as well as what features they have.

Anyway, stay tuned!

Edit: New server is up again! Change your realmlist to coth.game-server.cc

We're once again coming down in just a couple minutes to migrate the database once more and test things on the new server! Estimated downtime is 30-60 minutes.

  Another shot at testing dedicated
Posted by: Kretol - 01-18-2010, 04:30 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (5)

At some point soon today, I'll be bringing down the server in order to make another shot at database migration to and testing out the dedicated server. The process shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to an hour, and further updates regarding its state will be posted in the Server Status Updates subforum here.

Just a heads up!

EDIT:
The server's up and running on the new machine! Now for testing.

Please change your realmlist addresses to:
coth.game-server.cc

That's it! Log in as per normal.

Edit 2: I'm just not having much luck with having a stable dedicated server, it seems. At any rate, the old server is back up for now. Please check the later reply in this thread for info.

  1/15 3:32a - Another Attempted Migration
Posted by: Kretol - 01-15-2010, 03:33 AM - Forum: Server Status Updates - Replies (1)

Server coming down shortly to again test a database migration to the dedicated server. Completion of the migration could take up to an hour or more, but I will post again once it's complete and the server is back online.

For more information, please check this thread.
