As much as I hate to do it, I think I'm going to import all the databases (as I was planning to do yesterday) from the new server once it's back, and use the old one for a few days while I test the new one's ability to actually run for more than a day without freezing. I'm sure everyone loves the lack of latency and whatnot on the new server, but it's stability is sh*t. At least the old one doesn't freeze up like that.

As I'm sure folks have noticed by now, be sure to check the Server Status pages to see whether either server computer is actually up (you won't even be able to access the page if it's not on). Then, check to see when the last update was, to confirm whether the server program itself is actually running. Remember that the times are in PST (GMT -.

The new server is back up! Feel free to change your realmlists back to coth.game-server.cc. I'll keep the old one running until I get home from work, just to be safe.

As most folks are already aware, the new server is currently down. I'm hoping it'll come back online at some point today, as folks have progressed a bit over there and would rather just switch everything back. Presuming it does while I'm at work today, I should be able to connect and start the server program up.

Just a warning to hold off on any 'progression' things on the old server for now!

Server's coming down shortly to once more migrate a current copy of the database over to the new server. Once this is complete (which will take up to an hour), folks will need to change their realmlist, which I'll post again once the new server is up and running.

Once again trying the server change! This time, the database will be hosted on a separate server so as to not lose any changes between the migrations. This may result in potential database lag, but it's something I'll monitor. I know it'll increase the bandwidth between my home server and the database, though.... we'll see!

Anyway, the server downtime shouldn't exceed an hour. I'll post again once it's back up, but in the meantime, change your realmlists to coth.game-server.cc
