Welcome!
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

  Northrend
Posted by: Mikain - 07-22-2009, 11:15 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (14)

The time has come to advance once more into the icy north. I am officially opening Northrend IC. Check here for the story so far: http://conquestofthehorde.com/forum/view...58&start=0
It will be done in phases, opening a zone at a time as we go on, with minor changes to each one (maybe.)
Check back for updates on the story and opened zones.

Opened Zones:

Borean Tundra
Mightstone Quarry, Warsong Farms Outpost, and Garrosh Landing are Horde controlled, instead of Scourge.
Farshire and the beach off of Valiance Keep is Alliance controlled, instead of Scourge.
Kaskala to Unu'pe is now a neutral Tuskarr city, instead of a ruined city besieged by Sea Vrykul.

  3.1.3 - It is time!
Posted by: Kretol - 07-21-2009, 10:51 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (13)

Alright, so! With the bug reports I've seen, and from what I have experienced myself, I believe that having everyone patch up would be fine. There's nothing seriously game-breaking, and I imagine people are getting bored and antsy!

Therefore, feel free to change your patchlist back to normal and patch up! Keep in mind that you don't have to worry about stopping at a certain patch - the latest patch is the one we will support (and the only one, mind you). Just remember to change your patchlist back before trying to log back in.

I'll emphasize that, as we are -certain- to get people who are having issues due to this:
Just remember to change your patchlist back before trying to log back in.
There.

If they ever see this, I thank the folks of the ArcEmu dev team for all their hard work in getting this out and still finding and squashing more bugs that pop up!

  Open for testing
Posted by: Kretol - 07-19-2009, 02:13 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (10)

The server is now open for testing, for those that already have a 3.1.3 client. For all others, DO NOT PATCH UP YET.

Just as a note, during testing, I may abruptly shut down or restart the server while I'm finding other things to fix. This is my disclaimer, as I don't want to hear people complaining about it if they make the choice to log in during this testing phase.

7/19 - Server open to external clients for testing ONLY
Posted by: Kretol - 07-19-2009, 11:11 AM - Forum: Server Status Updates - Replies (1)

As a complement to the news post, the server is currently only available for internal testing. Further updates will be made to this topic (and the name will change according) when I open it up for external connections.
