Welcome! |
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

Do not ticket for 3.2 items |

I'm seeing tons of requests for items that are not in the database yet, so I'm going to put it here.
Please do not request 3.2 items yet.
Very few are in the database, and I'm getting tired of seeing tickets exclusively asking for the latest and greatest uber items (most, anyway). There's already a large variety of displays from current items, so there's no real need to go strictly for uber items.
On that note, there's also a fair amount of items missing from places like Ulduar, so again, please don't request them in your tickets. If you're looking for farming gear, just go with Naxx-25 things, or beginning bosses of Ulduar. You might have some luck with them.
If you are unsure when an item was added, if you go to the item's page on Wowhead (for instance, for the [item]Heartmender Circle[/item]), you can see it at the right under the item level, sell cost, etc. For something that doesn't have when it was added, such as for the [item]Conductive Seal[/item], check the comments for hints on what it drops from.

More Rezz?! |

We've decided to add to the resurrection policy.
There is no longer one rezz.
Before half of you go "Yay!" and the other half go "Boo, that was a good policy."
We know.
And so, we are adding on to our current policy. You still need the rezz post, with the drawbacks listed.
And now, you need to mention who killed you, and who rezzed you.
We'd like to know, so we can make sure people aren't "stab stab stab" or "heal heal heal" too often.
We feel this will relieve some of the tension that comes from character death. No one wants to die since they only had two lives, and people would kill with the intent of ruining those two lives.
This however doesn't mean you do get an unlimited number of lives. If you die, rezz, die, rezz again, in a quick enough succession, we will make it permanent death.
I've probably missed something, so Question away.

The Sin'sholai
A new sun dawns
The Horde as it was is no more. Blood Elves and Forsaken, manipulated into the belief that their allies have betrayed them, have joined under a new agreement. The Sin'sholai, the Blood Pact, now binds the Forsaken and the Elves together as allies against the Horde, against the Alliance, and against the Scourge.
Changes to the world:
The Blood Elves and Forsaken are no longer part of the Horde, and have left Thrall's service in disgust. Orcs, Tauren, and Trolls are Kill on Sight in Silvermoon, Undercity, and any Elven or Forsaken outpost, and the Blood Elves and Forsaken are unwelcome in Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, or any other Horde outpost.
Rommath is now King of the Blood Elves, and has legitimized the Blood Magi and their study of Fel magic as a way of empowering the Blood Elven race.
The Forsaken have now set their eyes on Northrend as a place to expand and defeat the Traitor-Prince, Arthas.
The Blood Elves and Forsaken will now work to reclaim their combined lands from the Scourge.
