After reading over all the responses, I find it funny that no one would nominate themselves. And that the topic has gotten a bit out of hand. But thats okay. I think.
But, it looks like the popular vote goes between Jaina Proudmoore/Thrall.
I do have to say, nice choices, they're both good, balanced candidates.
We have to remember the power might go to their heads, though.
And, if we do end up with a nice Peacekeeper Scourge Faction because we make a good choice, it begs the question, would we make that a playable faction?

Think about it guys...Thrall was found and rescued by the Goblins in Cata, alive and well. He was captured by the SI:7 from Horde territory. Garrosh steps in temporarily though I doubt he'd give Thrall his throne back when the goblins rescued him. And during the first days of Cata before Thrall was captured by the SI:7, we even see Thrall and Cairne rescuing some kids in a screenshot. I think we can cancel him.

Face it guys, Kaghuros Broadaxe is the next Lich King.
Think about it, he's just like Arthas! For instance, Arthas has green skin tusks black eyes a large, two-handed melee weapon which he prefers over others that might actually be more useful. If that's not definitive proof, I don't know what is. Also, Kaghuros commands an army of the dead rides a wyrm is the son of the king of Lordaeron may or may not wear armor at any given time, and that armor is mainly, but not limited to, metal plates and hide. The resemblance is uncanny!

I'm afraid you're all wrong. The next Lich King is obviously going to be Piken. He will single handedly defeat Arthas by kicking him so hard, the subconscious manifestation of his evil and corruption's great grand kids will feel it. and then he will kick them, too. And then he will challenge Tirion to a duel, win, and be the leader of the Scourge and the Argent Crusade. It will be a force of great power previously unknown in these lands.

Everyone has the possibility to be the new Lich King except Maulbane, who is much too nature and spiritually aligned to be touched by fancy shmansy "EVIL". Arthas was weak, I say.

And to be honest, I think that Jaina Proudmoore is a good nomination.
But I just can't see the Lich Queen for me, like. It has to be a male. I can't imagine it being a girl. Don't know why, it just dosent feel right.
