The secrets of RP part one- Improv!
#46
...I'd missed this thread so much.

Lina/Flappy

Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them?
Tell them to beware whips coming out of nowhere and the clip-clop of hooves. Or ask to whisper something in their ear. Then go kill demons.
-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
She doesn't really have a job. Her first reaction would be to incinerate everything. Then go kill demons.
-Having a child?
...It's very improbable that she ever would, as I very much doubt one can breed with succubi whilst being female. But if she somehow would? She'd twist the kid into a weapon against the Burning Legion. Her own little soldier..
-Friends/family killed?
Take vengeance, then go kill demons.
-Being outsmarted?
Get angry. Re-examine the situation. Surmise that purging everything in fire is the best course of action. Apply felflame to everything. Go kill demons.
-Being told a bland joke?
Ask the succubus nearby to whip the failing joker once more. Then go kill demons.
-Stepping on a nail?
Pull it out, hold foot out to succubus, and cast Health Funnel. Then go kill demons.
-Eating something disgusting?
More disgusting than fel-blood? She'd most likely eat it anyway... Then go kill demons.
-Buying a slave?
Turn it into corrupted shock-troops against the Burning Legion. And use it to kill demons.

Eris of the Serynzheris

Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them?
If male, react with violence, or lead them on and bloom icicles in their bodies. If female, make the most of it.
-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
Hatch a neat little plan by which the entire organization she was fired from falls into chaos and dissaray. Eris would smile and eat an Apple.
-Having a child?
Kill it in the womb with necrotic energy, or become Lichborne, quite literally starving the critter inside herself. Horrible thing, Eris...
-Friends/family killed?
Take vengeance, eventually. She is immortal in lifespan, so, she has a long, long time... At first, she would rage, though. Especially if it were a certain few.
-Being outsmarted?
Eris would smile and eat a frost Apple. Then she would outsmart the outsmarter. She's not a sore loser by any means.
-Being told a bland joke?
Laugh. You don't need any immediate reasons to laugh if you're Eris. You have long-standing causes to do so.
-Stepping on a nail?
Stare at it. Pull it out. Look into the hole, as no blood comes out. Lick it and close up the wound with a Death Coil.
-Eating something disgusting?
Joke about cooks that've been decapitated for less, and ask for the House's cook instead.
-Buying a slave?
If male? Build it into a subservient meat shield. Eris does not get her hands dirty. If female, however... make the most of it.

...And people say I never play evil characters.

Kynra Cinderstrike

Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them?
'Me? Why me? What's so special about me?... Do you really mean it?'
-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
Only thing she has is the Ebon Blade. She'd be very, very sad. And she would paint things red.
-Having a child?
'What? No. I don't deserve this.' Then she'd try figuring out how to manipulate bloodflow into and out of it and accelerate growth to create a super-being.
-Friends/family killed?
She doesn't have many of such. Basically just three-four people. But she'd avenge them. Most certainly. In horrific manners. Bathing in the entrails and blood of the killers.
-Being outsmarted?
This has happened before. Especially in storylines. She takes it pretty well.
-Being told a bland joke?
She's not really one to appreciate humor. Good or bad. She usually has a quick, quiet laugh at either, and moves on.
-Stepping on a nail?
She would look over her shoulder and notice the lack of a trail of blood. She'd shrug, raise her foot up to her face, pull the nail out with her teeth, and suck on the wound like it was her mother's milk.
-Eating something disgusting?
Disgusting? This is someone who detonates others in showers of entrails, blood and bits of bone. There is no such thing as disgusting.
-Buying a slave?
They'd be her guinea pig. They'd end up experimented on, and would most likely die of blood loss, eventually.

Arylon Bradford

-Someone romantically interested in them?

She'd likely run away. Binding to people isn't that interesting. She has her own interests in Lily and Hebry, and wouldn't want to drop any of them for someone else. If they keep on harassing her...She'd punish them, somehow!

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?

Amy would be extremely pissed. I mean, she's a Paladin of the Holy Light that shines. Now, she wouldn't avenge - but likely she would try to outdo the group who fired her on said job or mission. Or, maybe, simply walk away. It depends.

-Having a child?

Arylon has had a bad experience with pregnancy - she bore Hebry's child for five months before being severed and loosing her baby, almost dying in the process. Now she would simply try to avoid all intercourse, and does not think about a child anymore. Ever.

-Friends/family killed?

It depends whom, but if the friend or family matters enough, she would believe she'd need to bring them peace. At such she'd chase the murderer ruthlessly - and either killing them, or bringing them to justice. Would it be a petty warlock or something she would easily enslave them, rather.

-Being outsmarted?

Amy wouldn't react, and wait until the next opportunity to outsmart people.

-Being told a bland joke?

Amy would blandly look back. Jokes aren't so much Amy's speciality.

-Stepping on a nail?

Arylon would begin by shouting, maybe dropping whatever she had in her arms, before checking the wound and peskering, remove the nail and heal herself. But then, she prefers wearing plated boots (when on mission or uniform), or hardened leather boots or shoes (otherwise). So she doesn't step on one. Or at least doesn't feel bothered about it.

-Eating something disgusting?

Amy wouldn't eat it. She'd toss it away and starve rather than eat something horrible.

-Buying a slave?

Amy wouldn't 'buy' a slave. However, she believes most shadow priests and warlocks should be slaved and cleansed. What she does is trapping shadow or fel weavers before slaving them, forcing them to work for her. And if they seem redeemable, she'd try to 'cleanse' them.

Aanya Ambersong

-Someone romantically interested in them?
Aanya would take a little while to pick up on their motives, attempt to judge if they were just flirty in nature or if they really mean it. Then she would try to out flirt them as a sort of contest, not being the type to just sit there and soak up all the attention. Love is a game and games are meant to be won, and if someone wants her affection they'll have to compete for it.

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
She would take it pretty hard, valuing her work as her only real foothold on sanity. She would most likely find her salvation at the bottom of a bottle, her redemption through a strong punch to the wall, and her regret in having punched said wall.

-Having a child?
She would be ecstatic, overjoyed, frightened. Having a child to her would be the modern day equivalent of winning the lottery. She would mother the child with care, giving up her current life to support the child and tend to it. Aanya would teach the child about her own life lessons and the value of an education, rather than the demanding physical labor she dealt with herself to make a living.

-Friends/family killed?
She would mourn the lose of this individual stoically. She would keep her completion calm and somewhat emotionless for the sake of those around her and whoever might have known the deceased. But inside she would be torn apart and only grieve to herself quietly. She would even visit the site where this person had died to assess where she could have been to prevent it if they were murdered, or just think if natural causes ceased their heart. If vengeance could be grasped she would take to it recklessly in her emotional state of mind or perhaps not at all if she was too rife with sorrow.

-Being outsmarted?
Aanya would stand there for a moment, rubbing the back of her neck in embarrassment and admit to it. That is, of course, if she realized she was outsmarted to begin with.

-Being told a bland joke?
A twitch of the eyebrow and a long drawn out "Okay then..." would no doubt ensue.

-Stepping on a nail?
She'd shout and curse every small pointy inanimate object around her. She would then tend to the wound, cursing upon pulling the nail out followed by more cursing as she wrapped it with a bandage. If she somehow re-injured herself she would recite the dictionary of profane words and fall over in pain. . . Did I mention she'd be cursing?

-Eating something disgusting?
Aanya would more than likely spit out the food all together or just repress the urge to vomit as she'd continue to eat it if whoever conjured up that little slice of heaven was present.

-Buying a slave?
It would be an eerie and disturbing experience for her. She wouldn't be very animated about it and would be terrible at playing anything off other than the "stiff reprehensive woman that has never in her life bought a slave before" look.
Aanya Ambersong- The conflicted Soldier of Fortune.
Julianah Graven- The fanatically self righteous Zealot of The Light.
Shaavi- The Fighter who is willing to test her mettle against everyone, and everything.

Right, I would choose my first character then. . .Syraline!

-Someone romantically interested in them?

Syraline has a deep scar down her left cheek, blinding her left eye. Her first reaction would be one of disbelief, dismissing the other's words as a joke. If the other proves sincere, Syraline would probably initiate the voluntary seperation; she would feel that it goes against her moral values to destroy the other's future, as she considers herself broken.

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?

If Syraline gets demoted, she would probably accept it and try her best to learn from her errors, in accordance to her Lawful Good alignment. If she gets fired. . .As a priestess, she would probably be an inch from commiting suicide, and probably would unless something else intervenes.

-Having a child?

If Syraline had a child without being romantically involved, she would believe that she had done an error, but nonetheless bring up the child to the best of her ability; she feels morally obliged to, even without the father's support.

-Friends/family killed?

Her first goal would be to find a way to resurrect said close friend or family, doing her very best to ensure their smooth resurrection. If this should prove impossible, it would depend entirely on the method on which they were killed; if it was obviously their error, she would be heart-broken, and try her best to resolve any of their last wishes before consecrating their remains in accordance to the beliefs of the Holy Light. If done out of cold, brutal murder, she would try her best to restrain herself from vengeance, although if this proves impossible, there is a possibility that she would turn to the Shadow for help; an act that she would not in all probability do, as she had never casted a single damaging holy spell before in her life except during the Battle for Mount Hyjal.

-Being outsmarted?

She would accept it, depending on the tone and situation. If outsmarted in a friendly way, she would accept it, and express her acceptance. If outsmarted in a way which would prove harmful to herself or another, she would attempt to restore the balance to the best of her abilities.

-Being told a bland joke?

Depends entirely on her mood. If it was good, she would laugh politely but within social niceties. If it was bad, she would simply look dryly at the person telling it, but maintain her peace.

-Stepping on a nail?

Her expression would be one of startlement, and then one of pain, as she tries to remove it gently after finding a place to seat. She would then probably heal herself. If it was in public, she would probably be deeply embarassed, but try her best to maintain the dignity and bearings of her position.

-Eating something disgusting?

If she is in a public place, she would try to divest herself of said food from her mouth as politely as possible before giving an excuse to take her leave or stop eating; perhaps that she feels unwell or has an upset stomach. If in private, and with a close friend who cooked it, she would probably tell the truth in the most gentle way possible.

-Buying a slave?

There is a low probability of this happening, unless she either do it to free the slave or to ensure that the slave, if evil, is brought back to the Church of Light or at the very least given the chance to repent.

Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them?
If a male? Lead them on for a good long while, getting them to do her dirty work as well as keep her company. Once they got a little too close, or too pushy, she'd sic her Kitten on them.

If female? Turn around and walk away awkwardly.

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
Switch to the other side and tell them all the dirty info of the ones who fired/demoted her. Then watch as the info is used to crush them, or, at least set them back. If there was no other side, she'd just shrug and walk away. They'll regret it one day.

-Having a child?
She'd be very upset, knowing herself mentally unable to handle a child. Most of all considering her great deal of enemies and dangerous lifestyle. If the father was someone she didn't know, or disliked, she'd find a way to ride herself of it before birth. If it was someone known or liked, she'd give it to them at birth, or perhaps to close friend for adoption.

-Friends/family killed?
If anyone was as so bold to harm what remains and what new friends/family she has, she would go on a murderous rampage. She'd attempt to kill not the murderers, but, the ones close to them first in order for them to feel her pain. Then she'd make them suffer for months, maybe years, killing off anyone they grow close to before granting them the mercy of death.

-Being outsmarted?
Nothing new to her. She'd just rub the back of her head and perhaps blush a little. She's not afraid to admit when someone bests her. At the same time, she'd be plotting a way to get them back, non-violently for once.

-Being told a bland joke?
She'd giggle-snort, then proceed to tell them just how awful it sounded without trying to sound too mean about it. They gave it a try, that on it's own was amusing enough for her.

-Stepping on a nail?
Whine about it to someone else until they took it out and kissed it better. Then demand a sucker or some sort of treat for being a good girl. Then, she'd whine until Kitten carried her around the rest of the day until her foot felt better.

-Eating something disgusting?
Make a face, but eat it anyway. At least it's food, and she'd know that someone out there would wish for even a bite of what it was to fend off hunger. She'd perhaps add in a witty comment about it needing more salt.

-Buying a slave?
She'd not really bother with buying a slave, but, in the chance she did she'd keep it around to help her out until she felt the service repaid the amount she spent for said slave. From there, she'd let them go and offer a place in her 'family'. Whether or not they choose to accept would make no difference in letting them go.

Sathe:
Spoiler:

-Someone romantically interested in them?

Stand around awkwardly, then shrug and ask them if they wanted a drink. She'd give 'em a chance to prove themselves.

If a female? Point at something shiny and run the other way.

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
Sabotage her old boss and spread slander about them. Hit 'em where it hurts, their reputation and wallet.

-Having a child?
Track down the father and make sure he helps take care of it, stabbing him if he refuses. Otherwise, raise it and let it do that it wants to do. No need to oppress it's hopes and dreams, nor does she wish for a mini-me.

-Friends/family killed?
Mourn for them. Then blow the guilty ones up. With lots...and lots...of bombs.

-Being outsmarted?
Stab and or shoot 'em. Maybe even add a few explosions in.

-Being told a bland joke?
Bonk them over the head with a wrench, then tell them they aren't allowed to talk for an hour.

-Stepping on a nail?
Cuss like a sailor and yank it out. Then set it in the seat of the first mate.

-Eating something disgusting?
Spit it out and demand a refund. If none is given, shoot someone. If it's a friend, dump it on them while they sleep.

-Buying a slave?

Put them into service as a gopher and an assistant to her tinkering, also using them as a test subject.

Cieldrim Orisamitore, the often disturbingly-good noble.

Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them? (Regardless of gender) "What's that? Well.. I like you too." *blush*

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission? Work her butt off to get it back.

-Having a child? She likes kids. She'd likely put a lot of time and effort into raising one.

-Friends/family killed? If it was Artairis? Blind killing spree. She's very good with her swords. If it was someone else, she might have them redeem themselves somehow.

-Being outsmarted? It happens. She takes it well.

-Being told a bland joke? Laugh at it regardless of content.

-Stepping on a nail? Pull it out, and heal the wound without complaint. Then find out why someone left it there in the first place.

-Eating something disgusting? Send it back and ask what happened to the Serynzheri chef that day.

-Buying a slave? Along with others, to drag along to various safe points and set free. She could afford it easily.

Thani Deepriver, doctor and nerd extraordinaire.

Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them? Epic nervousness.

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission? She had her practice taken away once. She kept working through it, and got it back.

-Having a child? ..Goodness, how? Unless she cloned herself, that's not likely.

-Friends/family killed? The deaths of her family/friends would be followed by quirky, and surprisingly mysterious deaths that nobody seems to know anything about.

-Being outsmarted? Depends. If it was a colleague, she'd one-up them somehow. If not, be surprised they were even capable of it. Either way, snarkiness.

-Being told a bland joke? She has thousands of better ones, and doesn't hesitate to use them.

-Stepping on a nail? Stare at it for a while, determining everything it went through, then yank it out. Have Teremun heal the wound, and argue with him for leaving a nail in their lab space.

-Eating something disgusting? Disgusting? I don't think she knows the meaning of the word.

-Buying a slave? 'Slave' is her expression for her lab assistants.

Redis Taylor

Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them?
Chances are, he's going to ignore the person and tell them to find someone else... Well, Necromancers don't make good fathers anyways.

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
Plot to kill the CO, and raise him as a minion. That way, he can fire him/her.

-Having a child?
If it ever happened(We're taking a leap here)... He'll support the child/family indirectly with funds.

-Friends/family killed?
Raise said friend/family as a minion, and go after their killer.

-Being outsmarted?
Madness. He'll attempt to re-direct the argument elsewhere, or if it was a trap... Death and Decay everything.

-Being told a bland joke?
Ignore the would-be clown.

-Stepping on a nail?
Wince, perhaps a small yelp. Then proceed to pull it out, and carry on his way. Might have a pair of ghouls carry him.

-Eating something disgusting?
Well.. Worst things have happened.

-Buying a slave?
Turn him/her into an undead slave ASAP.

Sebastien Yursell, the Booty Bay Handyman! (v2)

-Someone romantically interested in them?
Become rather nervous around the person and begin to blush as well.

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
Get a bit down about it but would press on and do something else. Plus, how does one get demoted when he runs his own business?

-Having a child?
Seem rather relaxed about it until about a week before the birth and start to panic greatly, thinking that he's not ready at all for such a job. He would then proceed to buy everything he thought the baby would need and try his best to raise it, becoming rather attached to the kid.

-Friends/family killed?
Sebastien would likely mourn their passing, become somewhat sad for a few days while remaining completely engrossed into his work. He would end up being too quietly stubborn to find help but help often finds him.

-Being outsmarted?
Take note of what he was outsmarted in and use that knowledge to his advantage in the future.

-Being told a bland joke?
"Aha. . ."

-Stepping on a nail?
Allow his nerves to send an impulse through his body, to his spine and then back to his foot which would cause it to jerk back as he would let out a loud yelp. He would treat the wound properly and return the nail to its rightful contraption.

-Eating something disgusting?
Painfully swallow what is in his mouth and casually push away the rest of the food and proceed to make himself something more tasty.

-Buying a slave?
Assume a business mannerism and purchase said slave, putting them to work inside of his workshop, give them food, water and a place to eat for their trouble and even an allowance.

Telah
Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them?
Romantic interests for Telah is not roses and moonlit dinner. It's intimate trust and almost brutal honesty. Uuknowingly to him he also wield quite some dominance in such relations. But out of the consideration of mating and spawning he'd turn female's down he know he wont mate with.
-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
I imagine what an anchorite must do to get demoted would go against the Light and in that case he'd not be so bothered with the demotion as with the act done itself to deserve such treatment. Most likely he'd agree with the judgement.
-Having a child?
Oh, a soar topic for Telah. Yes, he loves children and wish to have at least one more himself. Even though he loathes the situation it puts him in. Bringing life into this world is truly a miracle!
-Friends/family killed?
Telah has lost many already and takes heart and comfort in his race and fellow anchorite. The loss of someone close to him most often lead him to question himself.
-Being outsmarted?
This is something he expects in things. His strength lies in faith and tenacity, not smarts.
-Being told a bland joke?
If he wont find it funny, he wont laugh.
-Stepping on a nail?
Teeth gritted hard while slowly tending to the wound and thrown about nail so none else gets hurt.
-Eating something disgusting?
Most often he would spit it out in a clam fashion. But there are situations around some people he'd force it down out of etiquette.
-Buying a slave?
Never ever in a million years. No good sentinent race deserve enslavement.

Tavren Black

- Someone romantically interested in them?

+ Depending on the caprice of the moment and the semantics of who they are they may find themselves a smoldering corpse, an empty husk, wrapped affectionately in magical trinkets, in a relationship with a severe imbalance of power, or any of the above in some spectacular sequence of events.

- Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?

+ As of the moment, he's self-employed, but back when he was reliant on others for his livelihood his immediate response would be to defend his payroll as persuasively as he can. Should it so happen there was other, more preferable employment available he would discard the misfortune immediately and pursue it.

- Having a child?

+ Of the seven hellspawn he's produced thus far, he intends to raise each and every one of them with loving care.

His fathering style will highlight free thought, imbuing a sense of purpose, creativity, education, and healthfulness.

- Friends/family killed?

+ Rather situational on the means of their demise. Though his heart is for the most part cold and petrified, he cares genuinely about some of his cohorts.

If there is something to be done, he'll likely do it.

- Being outsmarted?

+ Laugh it of-

Don't just wish ill on your enemies; plan it.

When at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence.

The Gods have feet of wool, fists of lead.

He would be averse to repeating any mistakes, and if it can be helped he isn't one to let things stand in his way unscathed. While he usually abandons such things in favor of whimsical amounts of brash behavior, he resorts to cunning where brute force proves futile.

- Being told a bland joke?

+ Tavren's sarcasm, when it reveals itself, is deadpan and pitch black.

A bad joke is also liable to get you tagged for death by the volatile creature.

- Stepping on a nail?

+ Obscenities, profanity, anger, and rage.

The nail would be removed, potentially with the aid of some of Tavren's perpetual escort, followed by the wound being magically treated.

- Eating something disgusting?

+ He wouldn't unless absolutely necessary, and this would endow him with a grim demeanor as he suffers through it.

- Buying a slave?

+ Tavren is usually the one doing the slaving, and his cattle usually ends up drained dry of their sweet vitality or sold. He has no moral compunctions against the act, and he considers it a decent means to an end.

Ok, here's Kirabo.
Spoiler:
-Someone romantically interested in them?
-He'd probably ignore it, and treat the person as a friend. If it was a male, he'd knock them out and toss them into the bay with their legs concreted.
-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
-Nerdrage and try to get revenge on the person who demoted him, or the person he got booted for.
-Having a child?
-He would probably be able to take care of it, and would be more pleasant to people around him. He'd also be overprotective.
-Friends/family killed?
-Happened, he'd never forget it. Ever.
-Being outsmarted?
-Doesn't happen. :B
-Being told a bland joke?
-No specific reaction. It's a joke, you laugh to jokes. Do the math.
-Stepping on a nail?
-Be disappointed for his carelessness and dropping his guard.
-Eating something disgusting?
-He'd just wash it out with a gallon of Moonberry Juice.
-Buying a slave?
-He probably wouldn't do it, though if he HAD TO, he'd probably release him/her, without harassing them too much.

-Someone romantically interested in them?

Inform the man/woman that, as a shaman, he is too dedicated to his quest to really be able to handle any sort of romance. If they stalk him, he'd tolerate them, and possibly reciprocate the feelings if he is inclined to do such with said individual.

-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?

There's only one 'mission' that matters to this individual. And you cannot be fired from it.

-Having a child?

Well, generally he would be honored to have the privilege of mating. Having children is reserved for the most physically powerful, or the most gifted healers and shaman.

-Friends/family killed?

Vengeance. Cold, deliberate vengeance.

-Being outsmarted?

Curiosity as to how he was outsmarted. Then vengeance. Not so cold, but deliberate vengeance.

-Being told a bland joke?

He probably would accumulate that to his lack of understanding of the joker's language.

-Stepping on a nail?

Attempt to find whoever laid such a trap there. Neutralize them.

-Eating something disgusting?

There's little he considers disgusting. Nevertheless, he'd suck it up if whatever he was eating was disgusting.

-Buying a slave?

Well, generally he wouldn't do that. But if he were required to have one, it would be the same relationship a master and a servant has. He's not a very abusive fish-man.

Ariden, my Kirin Tor Magi would:
-Someone romantically interested in them?
Probably not even notice it.
-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
Would (silently) curse his superior for not seeing his potential, and would find some other occupation later.
-Having a child?
Would spend the first days trying to find a thousand reasons why he has no time to raise a child and try to get rid of hit until it becomes sentient. When it does, he will become proud and learn it everything he knows, which is a considerable ammount and makes up for a boring youth.
-Friends/family killed?
He would be sad, but won't necessarily take revenge.
-Being outsmarted?
A rare occassion, but he will silently plot on how to be smarter next time.
-Being told a bland joke?
He would blink his eyes and say 'ah' or fake a laugh to be polite.
-Stepping on a nail?
He would say ouch, visit a doctor and ponder the rest of the week about the odds someone left his nail right on that spot.
-Eating something disgusting?
Swallow the first munch, and then conjure his own food.
-Buying a slave?
He would never...To someone who could keep track of his belongings might be usefull...He might buy one, and then put him on a contract, if he feels compassionate and said individual has magical potency.

If you were to ask Sindol Sunsail...
:gold: Someone romantically interested in them?
He would probably question their motives behind their interest in him and think that there was more to their "feelings" than meets the eye. Basically, he would probably believe they wanted him to do something or they wanted to take something from him. Though thoughts of how attractive the person romantically interested in him would not escape him, if he also desired the individual in question, then he may very well pursue the romance pending further developments.

:gold: Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
Depending on the job or mission he may or may not be upset about it. However, it is unlikely that he would actually be "employed" or "hired" by anyone in particular. However, if he was committed to doing something that he believed in with others (For example fighting a battle to protect something of value to him.) and they asked told him they did not want or need his help. That would probably hurt his feelings a little bit.

:gold: Having a child?
If he were in love with the person to whom he was having a child with, he would most likely be quite pleased assuming it were at the right point and time in his life. He may experience some degree of nervousness and anxiety though, as I'm sure any parent would.

:gold: Friends/family killed?
He would grieve and mourn the loss of anyone or anything that he cherished. However, he would know how to cope with such things. He has fought in both the Second and Third War and lost his father amongst the fighting. The happening may be a burden on his heart, but it wouldn't send him into a state of depression or anything.

:gold: Being outsmarted?
Depends on what he is being outsmarted in, on, or about. In battle, he may chide himself for having fallen behind the eight ball (so to speak). In a game or through conversation, being outsmarted may humor him. All in all, he isn't a bad sport, so he would most likely adapt and respond as he deemed necessary.

:gold: Being told a bland joke?
Depending on who is telling the joke he may smirk or he might just be honest and tell the person that he didn't find the joke funny.

:gold: Stepping on a nail?
Well, he'd probably be pretty aggravated with himself and whoever left a nail in a place where it could potentially be stepped on. He'd probably grumble and groan to himself in Thalassian as well, if only to get it out of his system.

:gold: Eating something disgusting?
Depending on "how" disgusting it was would determine on whether or not he actually swallowed the distasteful food. If it was so disgusting that he couldn't bare it, he would probably spit it out and apologize to anyone he may or may not be eating with and explain himself accordingly.

:gold: Buying a slave?
He wouldn't. That was an easy one.

-Someone romantically interested in them?
Blush heavily, try to push them away without revealing too much of her current status.
-Being demoted or fired from a job or mission?
She's "self employed" as it were. She'd probably step down if things started going wrong/people under her were unhappy.
-Having a child?
Joy! She wants about five.
-Friends/family killed?
Severe depression, questioning herself on what use she is, flashbacks to previous deaths of close ones.
-Being outsmarted?
She'd sulk, and change the subject.
-Being told a bland joke?
She's horrible with innuendo, so any joke of that nature would fly over her head bland or not. She'd be polite if she did get it and it sucked.
-Stepping on a nail?
NNGH! -freezes, immediately sits down to tend it-
-Eating something disgusting?
Eat teeny tiny bites of it as slowly as possible.
-Buying a slave?
No. Perhaps to release, though she thinks that whole process is ultimately useless.
