People differentiating between Flight form and normal Birds?

Not gonna' happen..
As long as the bird doesn't go to ground level, where the guards can see how huge it is and maybe even see it's ears (Which as I said before is hard to in normal flight form),

Please don't dispute how we rped or reacted, or how guards would have reacted. If the GMs and other roleplayers said it was guard abuse, it was guard abuse. Seeing a giant, purple bird garbed in wing plates and necklaces is NOT normal and even from a roof distance it would strike a lot of suspicion.

Tyrande used her owl thingy to scout to see ahead and see an encampment a little up ahead.

I'm not an authority on the matter but just because a lore character did it doesn't give us free range to do it as well. We aren't Arthas's or Thrall's.

True they are Stormcrows, but not everyone will know that, perhaps 10-20% of characters would, but I doubt anymroe would.
And we can keep our range, and avoid being seen, and maybe finally we can what we're built for.
Stormcrows are -HUGE- ravens, nothing a normal human or dwarf is used to see.

Well. A Guard [assuming we're talking about an orc here] is probably receiving the command to protect the place with his life, and he won't let anyone near. Also, since it is an orc, it is a bit less likely for it to say; "Halt, who goes there" and more likely to just kill. As for the bird. Big Bird. It will need quite an altitude to avoid being detected for it's big size. And I believe that orc, if green, would recognize druids in various forms. If this doesn't please you, try this approach: "You're a huge bird, lots and lots of meat. Orcs like meat. Orcs are good hunters. Hunters that bring in good meat are Honorable Hunters. Orcs like honor. In short; Do NOT do that.

I'd like to point out that in the instance your talking about you once perched directly above a guard's station on a tower, and at another time landed above two guards manning a door. So range is rather moot.

I must agree with Bovel here. Even if 10-20% of people would know it's a Druid, as you said, the bird is huge. Just think. A bird the size of a Human on your roof with curved talons and a nasty looking beak. You aren't going to go, "Oh, pretty birdie! Here's some popcorn!"

Just my two cents.

I am certain Alliance or Horde druids would have been doing this en masse if it was possible. Since they havn't. It isn't possible.

That's because Tyrande wasn't a druid. She was a Priestess of the Moon, and as such wasn't actually becoming the bird. She was using the equivalent of the hunter's "Eyes of the Beast" ability to scout. She would just be able to see what the bird saw, and it looked like a completely normal bird because, well... It WAS a completely normal bird. :|

Kinda' doubt this,
This is RP,
not PVP/PVE,
No-one's gonna' make a druid just for this plain idea.
Well, I hope..

Yeah, it's not like her bird isn't light green, see through and probably glows a bit, that definitely looks like a bird ¬¬

Ok, so explain to me why the druids of the Alliance and Horde have not scouted the cities, or whatever in bird form them.

It's quite possible that other druids and maybe shamans can easily see through a form change.

You know... this is really a useless topic. It's just an argument that is going nowhere... literally.

Is it normal for Stormcrows to be in Nagrand? Because it seems like the only reason this topic exists is so you can fly around Nagrand all willy nilly and no one can bother you.

If so, then yes, any guard would try to shoot you down. Even Alliance guards, if they did not know what a Stormcrow was. Why? Because it's a big [Profanity, BLAM!] bird the size of you. I know I'd try to kill it before it got to me, if I had the option of doing such.

Using any animal form near or in a city is very shaky business. Why? Because the guards don't all know 'that is a druid'. They just know 'that is an animal, which is very large and capable of killing me and the civilians I protect'.

Cat form? 'Oh shit, giant cat. Better kill it before it kills anyone!'
Bear form? 'Oh shit, giant bear. Better kill it before it kills anyone!'
Travel form? 'Oh shit, giant leopard. Better kill it before it kills anyone!'
Flight form? 'Oh shit, giant bird. Better kill it before it kills anyone!'

Get the idea?
