The Tier System: (A prestige system idea, work in progress)

So uh, what made you put Liches on the system, something we don't allow?

I threw it on there simply because I was rewriting the term, "Lesser Lich" the "common" lich. It is rewritten as I said, the powers of the lich give it more of a usable feel. Sure ranking as a necromancer to Tier 4 would be easier and give you more spells to work with, and you are not as easily seen as KILL ON SIGHT as the poor Lesser Lich.

I placed it in there simply because a lesser lich is not far from the lowest form of Dragonsworn, and lets face it the lowest dragonsworn are wimps. What I am trying to do is you know, give negatives to the power, but not much power given by becoming a lesser lich. It is a work in progress.

I meant no offense though by going 'against server policy' this is an idea and should be treated as a possibility is all I hope for. I just believed we could rewrite "Lesser Lich" into something playable, this is our private server after all right?

I know I'm new, but can I just say how intimidating this place is? It seems like everything is a tier system already, and honestly it makes me not want to play here after looking through everything.

And I chose here not because it stood out, but because it was the most recent topic like this. There are a lot of things that are out here on this place that intimidate me.

And it's a bit... offputting to say that it's my choice? I'm quite aware that it is, and pointing that out just comes off as slightly unfriendly. Sorry to seemingly push around what little weight I have...

I wish you guys luck. This place looks fun, but sort of complicated! I've "made my choice" haha.

Hmm. I don't completely agree with all of it. But it's great to see input, since the system is on hold it doesn't mean we can't throw our own ideas on the table. And it seems you put a lot of work into it. I don't have much input myself. All I can say though is good job, you put a lot of thought into it and it's great to see that.

I say we give this a chance, I don't really see what could go wrong with it...

















I might be a bit biased, though honestly if Astus were to achieve that ('tis his goal despite disallowedness) he'd float around reading and be happy.

This looks like a great system. With some revising and hard work, this could be the perfect system for CotH.

Need's a bit of tinkering about, but honestly I think this would be fantastic. My only worry is that is could double or triple the workload for GM's in terms of reviewing advancement requests, as there is not one, but 4 potential advancements per character. But that's easily solvable, maybe each rank would take a month before you can bump up. Yes, that would mean that it would take 5 whole months to reach max level, but as we say, its not an arms race, and heck, getting 5 months into a character would have them very well developed, and so would be expecially awesome to see one walking about.

Id be happy to drop my prestige and start again in favour of doing it like this.
