I'd advise waiting until the plague is unleashed in-game and see what wacky ideas for names people come up with.

Indeed. We're leaving it up to the player-base to come up with the disease's name. A small detail, but it may clear up any confusion.
Also, the ate of the 'outbreak' has been modified due to complications of time. Once again, if you have any questions or comments I will be holding Office Hours on GMI for the rest of the day. ![]()

I look forward to participating in this mayhem.
The disease, I understand, can only be contracted by open wounds? How would a person in platemail be infected, as such typically transfers most strikes to concussive force? In effect, how could one be infected it doesn't break the skin?
How well-known are the properties of this endemic epidemic?

It is airborne, and they mentioned that it doesn't have to be transefered through liquids, but I would guess being sneezed or coughed at would do the trick.
All makt åt Tengil, vår befriare!

. . . Why does none of my characters go to Booty Bay any more except Sebastien!. . .
Wait, that's a good thing. Doctor to the rescue! Being holed up inside the tavern, taking a hundred precautions to not get infected himself, sounds fun!

I say we cleanse it, with fire.

Just breathing or ingesting the pathogen will not afflict you.
Also, would the paranoid clouding of the mind lead to starvation? As, I imagine, extreme anxiety over poisoning could have a drastic effect.

We should call the disease and its offshoots STVs. It's probably a virus, soo...
Stratosphere-Transmitted 'Virus'. /nodnod. And in honor of the other diseases one can get from Booty Bay.

A question. Gift of the Naaru is a light spell. Does it banishes the disease if used within the 2 hour limit?
